A biblical response to the Sex/Gender Debate
A biblical response to the Sex/Gender Debate
The topic of gender roles is big among Christendom, If we look to the bible to see how men and women should be, there are clear scriptures about how both man and women can glorify Christ in the roles that they are in. They are similar in the scripture, Genesis 1:27 says this, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them”. There is equality in that is made here in the image of God, and while there is this initial sharing between God, men and women we see it throughout scripture. Grudem explains this in his Systematic Theology book,
“Although the creation of man as male and female is not the only way in which we are in the image of God, it is a significant enough aspect of our creation in the image of God that Scripture mentions it in the very same verse in which it describes God’s initial creation of man.
There is without a doubt that God designed man and women and he designed them to glorify him in their lives by giving everything they have to follow him. A biblical response to the sex and gender debate has to start with the fall of man in genesis, because through this disobedience in of Adam, their is without a doubt corruption brought into the world through sin.
