Jude Translation

Nov 10 (1-3, 17-25)

Jude 1 NA28

Ἰούδας Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοῦλος, ἀδελφὸς δὲ Ἰακώβου, τοῖς ἐν θεῷ πατρὶ ἠγαπημένοις καὶ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ τετηρημένοις κλητοῖς·

Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those the called, having been loved in God the Father, and having been kept in Jesus Christ.

Jude 2 NA28

ἔλεος ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ ἀγάπη πληθυνθείη.

May mercy to you and peace and love multiply (Optative Mood).

Jude 3 NA28

Ἀγαπητοί, πᾶσαν σπουδὴν ποιούμενος γράφειν ὑμῖν περὶ τῆς κοινῆς ἡμῶν σωτηρίας ἀνάγκην ἔσχον γράψαι ὑμῖν παρακαλῶν ἐπαγωνίζεσθαι τῇ ἅπαξ παραδοθείσῃ τοῖς ἁγίοις πίστει.

Beloved, all eagerness making to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend the faith once and for all handed over to the saints.

Jude 17 NA28

Ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀγαπητοί, μνήσθητε τῶν ῥημάτων τῶν προειρημένων ὑπὸ τῶν ἀποστόλων τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ

Jude 18 NA28

ὅτι ἔλεγον ὑμῖν ἐπʼ ἐσχάτου χρόνου ἔσονται ἐμπαῖκται κατὰ τὰς ἑαυτῶν ἐπιθυμίας πορευόμενοι τῶν ἀσεβειῶν.

Οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἀποδιορίζοντες, ψυχικοί, πνεῦμα μὴ ἔχοντες.

But ya’ll, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.

Jude 21 NA28

ἑαυτοὺς ἐν ἀγάπῃ θεοῦ τηρήσατε προσδεχόμενοι τὸ ἔλεος τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον.

Preserve yourselves in the love of God looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

Jude 22 NA28

καὶ οὓς μὲν ἐλεᾶτε διακρινομένους,

And have mercy on those who are doubting.

Jude 23 NA28

οὓς δὲ σῴζετε ἐκ πυρὸς ἁρπάζοντες, οὓς δὲ ἐλεᾶτε ἐν φόβῳ μισοῦντες καὶ τὸν ἀπὸ τῆς σαρκὸς ἐσπιλωμένον χιτῶνα.

Save others, snatching them from the fire, and on them have mercy with fear, hating the tunic having been defiled by the flesh.

Jude 24 NA28

Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ φυλάξαι ὑμᾶς ἀπταίστους καὶ στῆσαι κατενώπιον τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ ἀμώμους ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει,

Now to the one able to preserve you without stumbling and to place you blameless before his glory with joy.

Jude 25 NA28

μόνῳ θεῷ σωτῆρι ἡμῶν διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν δόξα μεγαλωσύνη κράτος καὶ ἐξουσία πρὸ παντὸς τοῦ αἰῶνος καὶ νῦν καὶ εἰς πάντας τοὺς αἰῶνας, ἀμήν.

To our only God and savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. Glory, majesty, power, and authority before all of history and now and to all of eternity, Amen.
