Amazing Grace Overlooked

this passage in our day and age seems like it is almost always studied with the neccessity or lack there of for baptism in mind
there is an amazing story of God’s grace here and whether or not WE ought to be baptized isn’t the point
our savior hangs on the cross
a blameless man next to convicted criminals
one insults him along with the crowds and the romans
one has heard the stories, understands his place and that he deserves death for his sins and has faith beyond even the apostles in the moment
that the kingdom is still to come, its about to be established and that he will not have the opportunity to see it in this life
remember me, and so the presence of a relationship with Jesus is promised without baptism for the man on the cross
Jesus has grace and mercy, he seeks forgiveness even for those who torture and murder him

Wholistic View of Salvation

like we talked about before, you can know
and if I take all that I know and have been commanded and have seen as an example, then why does the thief on the cross matter other than that his example is unique?
the thief on the cross will live out everything that salvation entails in the wholistic view we have built already
he has understood that he has sinned and confessed that, wishes to follow Jesus rather than continue sinning as his compatriot does, asked for forgiveness and will die to his sinful self alongside the savior
there are three instances of the word, Paul using it to talk about his time encountering Jesus
the same happens with the thief
how do you and I come into contact with the savior?
how does scripture say that I can come into contact with the savior?
