fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Context - Isreal is exile in babylong - started turning to self-help/ turning to crowd - felt God was not with them.
Sometimes we can feel like this? Where were you in that decision, now, cancer, diagnoses, valley, heartbreak
Or stuck in a situation and wonder why God has placed you there...
Honeymoon Story
Look back on honeymoon as one of the best times in my life - why?
Not because of what happened - because of who I was with.
Where is God when you are stuck in a situation - He is right there.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life.
It doesn’t matter how difficult the wilderness is in your life…Our God is near...
Why? Because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross -
in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
When Jesus died = Curtain ripped top to bottom - holy of holies was opened - presence of God is now available to all.
Here, as we worship - Let’s pray for a deeper revelation of who He is, That you have access , that He is close.
What ever situation you have, He is here - We need only turn to Him - JEsus has provided a way - He has given you the same Spirit that raised Christ from the Dead to live inside you.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
He is near - He is King - Will you give Him control?
My prayer is that, no matter what situation, what work envioronment, what trial, what mountain, what Valley, Don’t be a sidebar Christian,
Be a Christian that is constantly devoting your life over to Him - Your circumstance over to Him.
If I went on that honeymoon alone, it would have been miserable...
Don’t try and do life outside the almighty’s purpose...
but rather, Do life WITH GOD- in His presence.
