GOD’S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES

INTRODUCTION;

GOD’S DESIRE IS FOR US TO LIVE IN HIS CARE AND PURPOSE.

THE REASON IS SO WE MAY AVOID THE EVIL OF TEMPTATIONS THAT DRAWS US AWAY FROM GOD.

THAT’S WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT WE SEEK GOD’S WILL FOR OUR LIVES THROUGH PRAYER.

I LIKE TO TALK ABOUT 3 THINGS.

GOD’S PROVISION.

GOD’S PATH.

GOD’S DELIVERANCE.

A. GOD’S PROVISION.

Matthew 6:10 “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

GOD’S PROVISION FOR US THAT HIS WILL BE DONE IN EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

MEANING GOD’S PROVISION IS HIS WILL, AND GOD EXPECT US TO KNOW CHRIST AND TO BECOME AND EXPRESSION OF HIS LIFE.

WHEN WE PRAY TO GOD, WE MUST KNOW THAT GOD PROVIDES EVERY NEED FOR US THAT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE FOR OURSELVES.

THIS WILL TAKE TOTAL TRUST IN GOD THAT HE WILL ACCOMPLISH WHAT HE SET OUT TO DO.

THE REASON WHY OUR PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWER IS BECAUSE EITHER WE ARE NOT IN THE WILL OF GOD OR WE HAVE NOT ESTABLISHED A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM TO PUT OUR TRUST IN HIM.

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR US THAT WE LOVE EACH OTHER, AS HE LOVED HIS SON JESUS.

GOD EXPECT FOR US SHARE OUR FAITH TO OTHER’S , SO THAT THEY MAY LIVE IN LOVE AND GOD’S PURPOSE.

WHAT IS THY KINGDOM COME? IT IS THE COMING OF GOD’S KINGDOM AND THE FULFILLMENT OF HIS WILL IN ALL PLACES AND ALL TIMES.

WHEN THIS HAPPEN JESUS WILL COME BACK, BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD HAS REACHED THE WHOLE EARTH.

Matthew 26:42 “He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.”

B. GOD’S PATH.

GOD’S PATH IS THE MINDSET, THE ATTITUDE, THE CHOICES AND ACTIONS YOU TAKE THAT PUT YOU IN LINE WITH GOD, AND ON THE ROAD TO HEAVEN, MOVING YOU TOWARDS HIM, AND NOT AWAY FROM HIM.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION.

WHEN WE PRAY TO GOD WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM BEING TEMPTED.

WE MUST UNDERSTAND WHERE OR WHO ORCHESTRATING THE TEMPTATION.

TEMPTATION IS THE DESIRE TO DO SOMETHING, ESPECIALLY WRONG OR UNWISE.

THE TRUE REALITY IS ANYTHING THAT DRAW YOU AWAY FROM GOD, ONLY CAN COME FROM EVIL.

SO WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT DRAW US AWAY FROM GOD?

MONEY

Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

2. PRIDE

James 4:6 “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

3. LUST

1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

James 1:13–14 “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.”

C. GOD’S DELIVERANCE.

DELIVER US FROM EVIL

WHAT IS GOD’S DELIVERANCE? IT IS TO BE SET FREE .

JESUS IN THIS PRAYER WAS REMINDING US THAT IN OUR SURROUNDINGS THERE IS ALWAYS SOME APPEARANCE OF EVIL. AND WE NEED HIS DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL SO THAT WE CAN DETACH OURSELVES FROM IT.

YOU CAN’T BE SET FREE FROM EVIL, IF YOU ARE A PARTAKER OF IT.

SO HOW CAN I AVOID EVIL?

BY SPENDING TIME IN GOD’S WORD TO KNOW HIS WILL.

DAVID HIDE THE WORD IN HIS HEART SO THAT HE WOULD NOT SIN AGAINST GOD.

2. UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOUR WEAKNESS ARE AND BRINGING THEM BEFORE GOD.

THE PROBLEM WITH US WE TRY TO OVERCOME OUR SHORTCOMINGS IN OUR OWN STRENGTH, WITHOUT LEANING ON THE STRENGTH OF GOD.

3. ACCOUNTABILITY.

IN OUR SOCIETY TODAY, NO ONE WANTS TO BE HOLD ACCOUNTABLE.

EVERYONE NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO SOMEONE.

WE ALL NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD, BUT YOU NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS WISDOM FROM GOD WHO CAN HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD’S WORD SO THAT YOU DON’T FALL TO YOUR OWN DESIRES.

2 Timothy 4:18 “And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
