Overview of Class series .(from back of book)
How do you feel after watching the news? Every story seems more distressing than the one before -burning cities, backbiting politicians, runaway infections, heated elections, social upheaval, racial tensions, skyrocketing, crime, shouting pundits, deafening lies, eroding sands, and cracking foundations.
There are not isolated movements, philosophies, or events. they are as interconnected as a spiders web, and we’re only one existential crisis from becoming a world-one world government.
The global economy is precarious.
Society is filled with people who love pleasure more than God.
The church around the world is facing persecution, and religious freedoms are becoming more and more at risk in America across our country.
Spiritual famine is causing an epidemic of emaciated hearts.
Professed Christians are abandoning the faith, creating a vacuum that allows the rising tide of Marxism to flood into our land.
Simultaneously, events in the Middle East are turning Jerusalem into the Powder keg of history.
throw a pandemic in the midst , and there you have it a world in chaos,
But this is no time to be discouraged.
It’s time for the church to live by our convictions
In this study, We are going to take a tour of today’s major issues, showing us where we are, what they mean, and what we should do next as Followers of Jesus.
This study is going to look at 10 major issues, threading our way through the problems Jesus predicted and finding the solutions Jesus endorsed.
even as the world collapses, The Lord is building his church.
As Christians can say something, do something, pray something, preach something, and live by the convictions we have through Christ.
friends, we have a way forward. We are not defeated, this is not the end of the church, The Lord himself will show us where to go from here.
Our Main Purpose when it comes to End Times Prophecy should not be to figure out all the details of Prophecy, and live our lives trying to read between the lines so that we know exactly what will happen and when, but Our main main purpose should be to understand How these prophecies point people to their need for Jesus as their savior. We should view future prophecy in light of Gods big r picture of all of Scripture And see how it fits into his redemptive plan for mankind.
And when we approach prophecy this way- We dont have to know all the details, We just ant to know how to live our lives for His glory through these times that seem to be the fulfilment of Prophecy

Read John 15:18-25

John 15:18–25 (ESV)
18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’
What does Jesus say the world did to him first in verse 18?
It hated Him before it hated you
What does Jesus say about our relationship to him in verse 19?
HE CHOSE US - that s grace
How can we expect to be treated based on this passage?
Hated by the world
What does this look like for us today in America?
What strength can we draw from this passage as we anticipate the hostility of the world and choose to follow Jesus Anyway?
Jesus understands the hatred we receive as his followers because the world hate him too.

READ Acts 2:42-46

Acts 2:42–46 (ESV)
42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,
What did the apostles devote themselves to? (v 42)
the Teaching in the church
and fellowshipping in one another’s homes
eating together and prayer
NOTE: So why did David Jeremiah say that small groups are needed more today than ever?
So what would you say Paul meant when he used the word devoted to describe their actions?
How different does that look from what we experience in our churches?
very similar- but maybe not to the point of “devoted”
What Can we do to make our church look more like this and reflect Christ better?
Encourage others to be faithful in all aspects of the ministry.
with what attitude did they do all this (v 46)
with Glad and GENEROUS HEARTS
How can we encourage and hold each other accountable to fellowship like this going forward?
???---listen for answers

Read 1 Peter 3:22

1 Peter 3:22 (ESV)
22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.
where does this passage say Jesus now sits?
Right hand of God
How does this passage comfort us as we struggle in this world?
Jesus the head of the church, our advocate, is at the throne of God- pleading our request to him.
who does this passage say is subject to Jesus?
Every Power including Angels, authorities and Powers
what boldness should that give us as we go about our weeks seeking to glorify God and reflect Him in all that we do? Even when the world seems to be in chaos?
We can stand firm because our foundation is Jesus Christ who is sitting at the throne of the God who is in sovereign control over all things.

WRAP UP

Socialism is a plague that is infecting our entire world.
What I want to do is to encourage you to stand firm.
knowing that God is still on the throne. He is still in Sovereign control over all things including the chaos of this world. Socialism did not surprise God- In fact He knew from the beginning it was coming.
God revealed Biblical prophecy not to scare us but to bring us peace in our hearts as His followers.
He foretells us what is to come so that we can know that He is Sovereign over all and that nothing is out of His Plan or His control.
As we look at prophecies in the Bible it should bring us peace not Fear.
