Untitled Sermon

Allow me to introduce myself and give you all some background on who I am. My name is James. No, I’m not Chinese. Yes, I have tattoos.

The State of Florida and Vocational Rehabilitation May of 2022. Labeled me as irredeemable. I wasn’t worth anything of value. Formal training, I wasn’t Worth the money on education for higher learning, nor worth having on-the-job training like trade school welding. I’m borderline autistic with a Below average i.q. I have speech problems, I can’t hear very well, I am a lame man.

However, I am a Child of GOD first. For me to have the right relationship with GOD, I have to be obedient to the Gospel and contend for the faith. It is the motor that drives me as a person. So the question I ask is what is driving you? Your situation? Your wants? What is driving you?

Forgive me if I come across as abrasive, but allow me some room to be just me.

I have to accept the possibility that I may not get asked to speak again. I pray that’s not the case. I’m making people nervous. Very nervous. Because I don’t like to sugarcoat things. You might even tune me out, but that’s never going to stop the fact you ALL NEEED JESUS CHRIST. I may come across harsh. That because the time is at hand for you to accept the fact you need salvation. You need to be saved. I mean that with every fiber of my being. You need to be saved from the wrath of God You think life is bad now with the politics, the wars, your living situation whether or not life is happening for you, to you, or not. Let me propose to you this, your life can get worse. I’m a preacher in training and part of my job description is to lay down the facts. Fact: Your going to die. Fact: God is gracious and good towards you. Not wishing any man should perish, but all to come to repentance.

The fact is to many people come and go and preach love Jesus and Amen for that. Let me give you the details of exactly who God is according to his HOLY SCRIPTURES

Joel 2:10-11

The earth quakes before them,

The heavens tremble;

The sun and moon grow dark,

And the stars diminish their brightness.

The LORD gives voice before His army,

For His camp is very great;

For strong is the One who executes His word.

For the day of the LORD is great and very terrible;

Who can endure it?

Zephaniah 1:15

That day is a day of wrath,

A day of trouble and distress,

A day of devastation and desolation,

A day of darkness and gloominess,

A day of clouds and thick darkness,

Nahum 1:5-6

The mountains quake before Him,

The hills melt,

And the earth heaves at His presence,

Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.

Who can stand before His indignation?

And who can endure the fierceness of His anger?

His fury is poured out like fire,

And the rocks are thrown down by Him.

For those who are unsaved I don’t want you to forget these words. You have a death problem”. You will die twice. How is that possible? it’s called Hell. Weeping, Gnashing of teeth, torment awaits. Hell was originally intended for Satan and his angels. However, the unjust, the unbelieving, the unwilling go there as well. Who are the unjust? Every one of us.

Now I know I will be criticized for my message today. Oh “He wasn’t nice” I don’t have to be, I just have to be truthful. At least with a truthful person you know where they stand at, a liar you never know or simply don’t believe.

So here’s how you can escape the wrath of God.

Believe in the Lord Jesus, make him Lord and Savior of your life, be baptized, be forgiven of your sins against GOD, and receive the Holy Spirit and escape this world.

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 CSB But know this: Hard times will come in the last days. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud, demeaning, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people.

Perhaps you might even be one of these people. Who knows? I’m not here to judge but simply inform you the what the Bible says. It is the final authority concerning the redemptive plan of mankind.

According to the scriptures before all these negative traits. become normalized. Difficult times must come first. They will oppose what is good. They will be conceited. They will be reckless. Worst of all it will be people who claim to be of the faith. Or religious people. AKA Hypocrites. The Bible tells us we are not to be ignorant of the times. We are to avoid poisonous people such as these.

The fact is we all have problems. However, there is one universal problem that we as humans face. That is a death problem. When you die, NOT IF you die but when you do. Two possible outcomes. Heaven or Hell. Alive or dead. Light or darkness. The choice is entirely up to you. Because it is written in the scriptures Here’s what awaits for the believer

Revelations 21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
