Worship: “any action or attitude that expresses praise, love, and appreciation for God”
I. Glorify God in Spiritual Practices
We’ve talked the last few weeks about why we worship, and how we internally can prepare ourselves, humble ourselves to worship and even different ways that we can worship
But, as we close out this series, we get to reflect one last time on how we can
II. Glorify God in Everyday Activities (1 Corinthians 10:31)
luke said something about this last week and it deserves to be mentioned at greater length! Worship is a lifestyle...
and what it really starts with, even before activity, is

A. Glorifying God through an attitude

Glorify: “to praise, magnify, worship, or hold in honor”
i wanted to share a story, but There’s a video i want to share with you guys that i think will say it better, mostly cause its the man himself talking about his story.
with it i’d like to introduce you all to my good friend and class mate from college, Eli. This is his testimony and i’ll just let him take it from here. PLAY Eli Testimony VIDEO
“Although i was angry and confused at God, he was never absent, He was working in and through that situation to help me look and act more like Christ...”
Difficulties i’ve been gifted with
What a powerful testimony am i right? especially for me, knowing him. I didn’t know about a lot of this for a long time, it wasn’t til i saw this video. you never knew he was in pain, that his body was broken, His story is reflection of this idea… That we

Glorify God through an attitude of Prayer and Gratitude.

Look Here with me
1. of prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
we dont need to be like, monks, knees down in a dark closet,
but its this idea of never closing God off to what your thinking, planning, doing or otherwise.
It’s coming to him for and with everything!
the beginning of this sentence is actually in verse 16
2. of gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Rejoice, Pray, Give thanks
all of them, constant...
be grateful always, good or bad, known or unknown
Stay in constant contact with God,
Give thanks for how he moves in your life
“God knew what it would take to humble me, i can trust him with that...”
prayers should be surrounded with gratitude
“Since surgery i’ve gotten serious about my faith, cause even in the pain, i saw Gods provision i chose to start living for Christ, Not out of obligation, but out of Gratitude for what Jesus did for me by dying on the cross for my sins.”
Knowing Jesus, practicing these attitudes, naturally leads us into loving God and people better, which is one of the ways we can glorify God, you see, we can...

B. Glorify God through how we interact with People

1. (1 Peter 4:8-11)
Maintain constant love
be hospitable, without complaining
has anyone helped you but complained the entire time they did it, you almost feel like you should never ask for their help again!
the difference between mcdonalds and chick fil a
one has to serve you, the other gets to serve you
Serve others
Be good stewards of God’s grace
Speak as one who speaks Gods words
some of us struggle more than others in this
gossip
vulgarity
serve by Gods strength, not your own
Who Gets the glory? the one who’s power supplies
Glorify God in everything,
do all these things… So that He may be glorified
The way we interact with people and are attitude are both huge parts in how we represent God, and you see

C. Glorify God through how we represent Him

1. obedient living (John 14:15)
Follow God, follow Jesus example, Obey
2. giving our best in all we do (Colossians 3:22-24)
Work hard, play hard
not just cause the boss is looking, not because the report card is due, not cause you want a spot on the team or whatever but because you’re doing what you’re doing for God, for His glory, to elevate his name, to brag about the worthiness of him nature
3. through making much of God (Psalm 40:1-3)
brag about what GOD DOES!
share with others
let people know why you different
it all comes back around to this verse… this idea
(1 Corinthians 10:31)
III. Glorify God in Everything, Always , His Glory Alone.
Everything we do can be done in a way that is both pleasing to God, and brings Glory to God.
Everything we do should put a spotlight on the name of Jesus
we are his image bearers, we represent him to the world
If we’re more concerned with Worshiping Jesus than anything else, we wont need to worry about how we do it, who’s there, or how we look to others. The world will see Jesus through us, each of us have a unique lens, what lens will people see Jesus through when they look into your life?
Will they see a God who’s worthy of worship, praise and adoration, or will they see a God who’s never a priority, always secondary, and never talked about.
everything we do, should point to a worthy God...
Everything, Always , His Glory Alone.
im not saying you need to give up the things you love
im saying god has given you passions, bring him glory with what he’s given you
It’s a choice you and i have to make daily
ELI
Let me show you what Eli likes to do for God, and for fun...
DRUM VIDEO
bro is sick, legit, ive seen him do crazy things on the drums and at the end of the day, he wont let you walk away thinking it’s about him, for Eli it’s about God... -
i was texting him yesterday and asked him
"what’s the biggest thing you’ve learned through all of this, and what things have you come to value the most?”
This was his short reply, he sent me like a whole page right after as his long answer
“You can’t choose your circumstances but you can choose how you react to them, and Joy is a choice, Gratitude is a Choice.”
Everything we do can be worship to God
how we talk about our pain
how we react to our circumstances
how we have a conversation over text at 11pm, or 2 am for him!
how we play music
how we play sports
how we work
how we speak
how we share
how we give
all of this, is worship.
So Choose to Live…Worship
Everything, Always , His Glory Alone.
by...
Maintaining a grateful and prayerful attitude
Giving Glory to God in Everything you do
Do things to make Jesus more popular instead of yourself
so do:
pray with a thanksgiving sandwhich
when you see something extraordinary , Give Glory to God
Live Worship, represent him the way he deserves the be represented
Everything, Always , His Glory Alone.
