Free Entry into the Throne Room
Free Entry into the Throne Room
I was reading Esther the other day and I came upon this verse
11 “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that if any man or woman goes to the king inside the inner court without being called, there is but one law—to be put to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter so that he may live. But as for me, I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.”
And immediately God spoke
16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We can’t talk about our Authority in Christ without talking about our ability to enter his Throne room.
The word confidence here in the Greek is
Parresia—Boldness in speech
1. Your authority resides in your prayer!
So here’s the biggest question I get about prayer:
If we are to come boldly. We here that God answers prayer.
Why doesn’t God answer my prayer?
You’re not willing to do what is required for your prayer to be answered
Your request won’t draw you closer to God.
God desires you to have good things, but not ig those good things are going to kill you. He must first realign your character so your character will support the gift.
Sometimes God has to deal with the bigger issues in our life before we receive that healing we desire. Before we receive that promotion we desire. Before we receive the next good thing in our life.
God will only cash the checks you write in your prayer life if your relationship and character can support the
Here’s an interesting fact you might have missed. I often asked why would God have to destroy Heaven when he destroys the Earth.
1 Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?
We live in the Throne Room of God. Heaven has to be destroyed when Earth is destroy because it is ONE PLACE.
It’s in the Throne Room where Jesus is constantly interceding on our behalf
34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
We live in a place where the King of Kings is always fighting on our behalf.
We access God’s Throne Room through prayer
8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Our prayers rise up to God like incense that bring a sweet smell to God. When they rise they will reach Jesus who is bringing our petitions to God all the time.
Our access into the throne room is dependent on our desire to pray.
The reality is this:
Whoever Controls the Alter Controls the Outcome
We can’t either enter the Throne room of Satan through cursing and complaining or we can enter the Throne room of Christ through prayer and petition. The outcome is always based on who we worship.
But here’s the secret about prayer;
Prayer isn’t something you are automatically gifted with, but
Prayer is something we actively learn and purposefully grow in.
We have to learn to come into the throne room of God, but when we posture ourselves in prayer we are in the throne room f God. That’s why prayer is so vitally important to our authority. You cannot gain authority if you don’t have marching orders and you can’t gain marching orders unless you talk with God.
I believe that part of the reason Paul walked in such power and Authority was because
18 I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you.
Why do I believe this practice was the main source of Paul’s ability to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit? Two reasons1.
Prayer puts us in the immediate presence of god—in his throne room?
Prayer is about releasing control of our will and vocalizing God’s will into existence. There is no better way to do this than allowing the Spirit of God to speak through you at all times.
The reality is this:
Whether in tongues or in our known language prayer is about releasing our control.
We Must Lay Down Control
Each time we pray we release our control, our authority, our plans so that we can bring his into existence. This is why he states
13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.
14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!
15 “If you love me, obey my commandments.
We discussed last week. Everything God does is to bring you closer to him. To bring Glory to Him. To bring Lost souls to God. Your prayer life should reflect that example. When you enter God’s presence you should reflect that example.
That means to walk in your full Authority is to walk in God’s control.
19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
This is my ultimate desire for myself, for the church and all God’s people.
I tell my kids when I leave don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. In other words-do as you have seen your father do.
