Grace is what God is like.

Grace is the following: God’s Goodness, the Kindness of God’s heart, His good will!

**IT IS WHAT GOD IS ALL THE TIME You will always find God gracious, at all times and toward all peoples forever.

You will never ever run into any meanness in God (don’t confuse Justice, Discipline to be meanness~) You will never see ill will or resentment in God.

AND REMEMBER THAT ALL OF THESE WORK IN HARMONY WITH GOD’S JUSTICE AND JUDGEMENT.....

There is a hell and there will be judgement , God will have to reject those who have rejected His son’s atoning sacrifice!!

Think on this: God NEVER measures anything in Himself against anything else in Himself!

How often do you catch yourself measuring what you do against someone else that you know, to make yourself feel better about yourself?

Let us be specific here: God never measures His grace against His justice or His mercy against His love! God is all one!

BUT! GOD DOES INFATICLLY MEASURE HIS GRACE AGAINST OUR SIN!

Romans 5:15

15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

Ephesians 1:7

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Romans 5:20

20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

HOW TO LOOK AT GRACE

1. We can look at ourselves and see how sinful we were and say, “God’s grace must be vast- it must be huge because his grace forgave a wretch sinner as I.” This is the most common way we look at God’s grace and it is a good way to look at it! But it’s not the only way too!

2. The second way is this, to think of grace as the way God is- God being God

Remember that the grace of God only comes through His son Jesus Christ! Grace is channeled ONLY through Jesus, the second person of the trinity. It flowed through from the day that Adam sinned all through the Old Testament times and still flows today!

The A B C’s of accepting God’s grace. (the simplicity of Grace)

ADMIT- that you need a Savior and are willing to turn from your sins. Romans 3:23  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

BELIEVE- that Christ died and rose again so that you could be saved. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

CONFESS- that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior- Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
