WHAT EXACTLY IS RESTORATION POINTE RECOVERY?

VISION To be an intentionally Christ-centered Restoration, Recovery, & Discipleship Solution built around a vibrant local church, cultivating change through the power of the Gospel.

MISSION To provide a place of refuge for restoration and healing for the suffering, where we will teach life-changing biblical truths, disciple and equip with the practical tools needed to be sent out to serve the Church and community, and live life successfully in Jesus Christ.

Restoration Pointe is a haven of spiritual healing, a place that provides an environment to experience God, understand His plan and His purpose for your life. Restoration Pointe is a place to be equipped for His service and to be sent out where and when He leads. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33 We desire that all who come to Restoration Pointe develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and develop a life-long wholeness and esteem for our Savior.

People lacking the fear of God find their lives in a cycle of serving selfish desires, making wrong choices, and not having peace of mind or heart. We introduce the concepts of Christian living and personal responsibility. The Christian life is not abstract theology unconnected with life, but has practical implications that will affect how we choose to behave each day.

It is not enough to merely know the Gospel. We must let it transform our lives and let God impact every aspect of our lives. (ASK GARRY/LARRY TO TURN OFF THE LIGHTS-BRIEFLY) A personal relationship with the Lord can only be nurtured appropriately and fully developed within and among a local body of believers. No one is called to be a lone Christian.

We will participate in our own recovery and not spectate! Church life (living corporately on a daily basis) is essential to growth. Restoration Pointe friends and families are encouraged to attend any daily morning devotions, any scheduled church meetings and gatherings, various group meetings, and Bible studies.

RPfs (Restoration Pointe friends/family) will be exposed to sound Biblical teaching, lifestyle principles, and healthy relationships Church life (living corporately on a daily basis) is essential to growth. Restoration Pointe friends and family (RPfs) are encouraged to attend any daily morning devotions, any scheduled church meetings and gatherings, various group meetings, and Bible studies.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24

The primary purpose of the service at RP is to teach our friends and families skills, direction, self-worth, interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, and to develop a lifestyle of serving as Jesus did. RP will provide opportunities for people to serve within their local church as well. Establishing and maintaining a consistent work ethic is a vital part of their recovery process.

EDUCATIONAL DYNAMIC “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6a The need to educate people in recovery is an essential part of discipleship. As Christians, we must be prepared when the adversary comes our way. Through Biblical education, people will come to the “knowledge of understanding.” Everyone is encouraged to find and retain an accountability partner, mentor, or sponsor. This life was not meant to be done alone. “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17

DISCIPLESHIP DYNAMIC “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 Being addicted to various substances is not the central problem that we face. Addiction is an outward manifestation of an inward problem. Addiction is the result of a self-centered lifestyle that is driven by a soul-sick broken heart. Addiction is not the only reason we are here. We recognize that everyone on this planet has their own daily struggles they have to contend with; whether that is divorce, anxiety, depression, or something else, Jesus is the healer of our broken lives.
