2 Corinthians 7:10

“Repentance” - (1828) In theology, the pain, regret or affliction which a person feels on account of his past conduct, because it exposes him to punishment.
Here are the wrong THINGS that need to be replaced By the right ones.

I. Wrong Places Must Be Replaced By The Right Places.

People are bound in the wrong places.
Psalm 107:10 “Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;”
They willingly go to these places.
Proverbs 2:13 “Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;”
They stumble in the darkness.
Proverbs 4:19 “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”
They are confused because of what they have been taught.
Isaiah 5:20 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
God can bring them out of darkness.
Psalm 107:14 “He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.”
Only the Lord can change their place.
Psalm 92:13 “Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.”
Here are the wrong THINGS that need to be replaced By the right ones.
I. Wrong Places Must Be Replaced By The Right Places.

II. Wrong People Must Be Replaced By The Right People.

Jude 5 “I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.”
It took one day to get them out of Egypt.
it took 40 years to get Egypt out of them.
them that believed not
Deuteronomy 1:35 “Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers,”
We warn the religious lost.
We preach the Gospel to those that believe not.
We are NOT to feed the goats.

III. Wrong Pursuits Must Be Replaced By The Right Pursuits.

1 Samuel 30:8 “And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.”
We must read the Lord’s Book
We must study the Lord’s Book.
We must memorize the Lord’s Book.
We must pursue the Lord’s will.
Psalm 119:133 “Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.”
This is why we read it.
Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”
This is why we study it.
2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
This is why we memorize it.
Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”

Conclusion:

Tell me, do you want people to stop sinful things? What do you want them to start?
