1 Corinthians 1:23
Most people stumble at the cross because they would rather see Jesus as a miracle worker than as a bloody sacrifice for their sin.
But everyone of us is a sinner.
We are doomed to hell because sin separates us from God.
But Jesus took our sins upon Himself, and we need to heed His call to repentance.
The repentance is emptying yourself --to turn from your own selfishness and idolatry.
And it’s time.
If you have been watching the news, you know about the turmoil in the world today.
Jesus said in the last days there will e wars and rumors of wars.
But we need not fear when our eyes are on the prize.
When we put our trust in the cross of Jesus Christ we need not fear.
When you’re just so over life and you don’t know where to turn, turn to the cross of Jesus Christ. When you are all alone and it seems as if no one is on your side, when you’ve had enough of yourself, Jesus will come pull you out of that pit of sorrow and give you hope and life.
If you have struggled with depression know that the psychology of the world leaves us dry and running o empty.
I have had over 30 therapists and psychiatrists in my life, but there is no substitute for Jesus!
He knows exactly what we need.
He is calling you to be His all and all.
Get thirsty for Him!
The gift of His water is free but it can’t be received without true repentance--turning away from your old ways and coming to the cross of Jesus Christ.
When are you going to stop running and turn to the cross of Jesus Christ?
Turn away from your sins, ask Jesus Christ to forgive you.
One day we are all gong to have to stand before Him and He is a just and holy judge but He is also the perfect Gentleman.
When He calls us to Himself, we have a choice.
He doesn’t force Himself on anyone, but He is waiting for you to come to Him--ready to forgive you when you repent.
When we acknowledge we are empty He is right there waiting for us to turn to the cross.
It’s time to give your heart to Jesus, to ask Him to forgive you and wash your sins under the blood.
It’s time to give your life to Jesus Christ.
Come to the cross of Jesus Christ and give your heart to Him today.
