SEEKING THE LOST.

INTRODUCTION:

THEIR WAS A POINT IN EACH OF OUR LIVES THAT WE WAS LOST WITHOUT THE LORD IN OUR LIVES.

IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR GOD SNATCHING US OUT OF A PIT , WE WOULD HAVE FOUND OURSELVES LETTING OUR LIVES GOING TO WASTE,

BUT I AM SO GLAD THAT HE FOUND US, WHEN WE COULD NOT FOUND OURSELVES.

SO MY QUESTION TODAY, WHO ARE THE LOST?

THOSE WHO ARE OUT OF PLACE.

THOSE WHO LOST A SENSE OF DIRECTIONS.

THOSE WHO HAVE A SPIRIT OF REBELLION.

A. THOSE WHO ARE OUT OF PLACE.

Luke 15:4 “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?”

TO BE OUT OF PLACE IS NOT TO BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

HOW MANY OF US CAN REMEMBER IF WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, WE WOULD NOT GOT IN TROUBLE.

OR HOW MANY OF US BECAUSE WE WAS’NT IN THE RIGHT PLACE MISSED OUT ON OUR BLESSINGS.

THAT’S HOW IT IS WHEN WE ARE OUT OF PLACE WITH GOD.

WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN THE RIGHT PLACE WITH GOD, YOU MISS THE FELLOWSHIP YOU HAVE WITH HIM AND OTHER’S.

THEN IT AFFECTS YOUR COMMUNICATION WITH HIM.

WHEN YOU OUT OF PLACE WITH GOD, YOU’RE NOT IN THE PLACE FOR GOD TO USE YOU.

NOT IN THE SENSE THAT YOU CANNOT BE USED, IT’S THAT YOU’RE NOT GOING IN GOD’S DIRECTION.

Matthew 18:12 “How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?”

B. THOSE WHO LOST A SENSE OF DIRECTIONS.

Luke 15:5–6 “And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.”

THE DIRECTION THAT A LOST PERSON LOSE IS GOD’S WAY OF LIFE.

THOSE WHO TRY TO LIVE OUTSIDE OF GOD’S WILL, LOSE THEIR SENSE OF DIRECTION.

THEIR IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GOD AND THAT;S THROUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST.

THOSE WHO LOSE THEIR SENSE OF DIRECTION, TRY TO THINK THINGS OUT ON THEIR OWN.

THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO ALLOW THE LORD TO THINK FOR THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO CHANGE LIVES, BECAUSE THEY ARE COMFORTABLE WHERE THEY AT.

MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE LOST FIND THEMSELVES IN SURVIVOR MODE, BECAUSE THEY HAVE LOST THEIR WAY.

THE DANGER OF LOSING YOUR SENSE OF DIRECTION, IS YOU CAN FIND YOURSELF HEADING TO THE WRONG DESTINATION.

1 Peter 2:25 “For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”

C. THOSE WHO HAVE A SPIRIT OF REBELLION.

Luke 15:12–13 “and the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”

THOSE WHO REBEL AGAINST GOD WANTS TO DO THINGS THEY OWN WAY. THE PRODIGAL SON TOOK HIS JOURNEY.

MEANING HE TOOK HIS WAY INSTEAD OF GOD’S WAY.

HE INTENTIONALLY DISOBEY GOD FOR PLEASURE.

THE PRODIGAL SON WASTED HIS SUBSTANCE WITH RIOTOUS LIVING.

RIOTOUS LIVING IS TO FREQUENTLY BEHAVE IN AN EXCESSIVE AND UNCONTROLLED WAY.

WHEN YOU LOST YOU WILL LOOK FOR FULFILLMENT IN WAY YOU CAN FIND IT.

THE PRODIGAL SON WASTED HIS MONEY ON HARLOTS.

HE REBELLED AGAINST GOD FOR THE PLEASURES OF THE WORLD.

WE REBEL AGAINST GOD WHEN WE DO NOT WHAT HE SAYS.

Romans 8:6–8 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

THE CARNAL MIND SERVES SELF, BUT THE SPIRITUAL MIND SERVES GOD.
