Scripture

Colossians 3:15–17 “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
This month we focused on “Expression of Thankfulness”
I started with
What Are You Thankful For?
Thankful No Matter What
Give Thanks to God
and today I Am So Thankful
Well, it is certainly hard to fathom today, but Thanksgiving is once again upon us. It doesn’t seem like a year could have come and gone since we celebrated our first Thanksgiving in our freshly completed sanctuary, does it?
But are you not still thankful for the blessing it has been to us over that time?
AMEN?
We, as a congregation, have been blessed in so many ways, have we not?
SAY AMEN!
I want to address the idea of the Ingredients of Thanksgiving this morning.
This morning I would like to thank God not only for the things he has given, which we should all be grateful for, but I would like to thank God for those people that He uses to bless this congregation.
I want to thank God for the people of this church who have a desire to stand upon the Word of God and bring glory to God’s holy name. I thank God for the people of this church that you do not hinder me from preaching the whole counsel of God, week by week. I am so thankful for the support you give this church and your participation in the different planned events of this congregation.
I thank God for the Sunday school held at this congregation; the tremendous work that they have taken on in this church to develop, implement and promote the study and a learning of the word of God. I thank God for each and every teacher that takes on the responsibility of leading, souls to grow in their most hole faith. I am grateful to God for all the teaching that takes place in this congregation. I thank God for the energy and time that the leadership and teachers have given in the development of the teaching ministry at RCCC.
I am so grateful for the wisdom that I have received from the Full Gospel pastors. I sense the continual prayer of all the pastors for the work that God has called me to do here at RCCC.
I also want to take time to thank the Lord for the wisdom and patience and encouragement and help that I have received from by wife. I thank God for my kids for the love and the joy they have brought to my heart.
But the most important person that each of us should be grateful for is our Savior Jesus Christ for the grace and the mercy that we have been given because of the work He did on the cross at Calvary. He gave His life and rose from the dead to secure for us forgiveness of sins, life and salvation.

Closing

3. Great God – blessing and glory, wisdom and Thanksgiving, honor, power and might. “O Lord, my God, how excellent is your name in all the earth”
Is there anyone here who has not experienced the greatness of God?
There should not be any partiality, nor any sparsity, nor any neutrality.
Our Thanksgiving should be in totality because we are a part of a great multitude that is in great worship of a great God.
