This Sunday, the sermon is on “The Shield of Faith” from Ephesians 6:16. This is the central piece of armor among the seven. In many ways it stands apart by itself. The Christian’s faith underscores why the whole soldier’s kit is important. The Christian life does not just begin by faith when we trust in Christ and his blood for salvation. The whole of our lives as saints is a walk of faith (Col 2:6-7).
