Die Hard Series VOL II

Acts 27:30–32 GNB
30 Then the sailors tried to escape from the ship; they lowered the boat into the water and pretended that they were going to put out some anchors from the front of the ship. 31 But Paul said to the army officer and soldiers, “If the sailors don’t stay on board, you have no hope of being saved.” 32 So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the boat and let it go.

He Cut The Ropes So You Can Live

Die Hard Vol II
Acts 27:9–12 TPT
9 We remained there a long time, until we passed the day of the Jewish fast. Paul advised the frightened sailors that they should not put out to sea in such dangerous weather, saying, 10 “Men, I can see that our voyage would be disastrous for us and bring great loss, not only to our ship and cargo but also to our own lives. We should remain here.” 11 But the officer in charge was persuaded more by the ship’s helmsman and captain than he was by Paul. 12 So the majority decided to put out to sea, since Fair Haven was an exposed harbor and not suitable to winter in. They had hoped to somehow reach the Cretan port of Phineka, which was a more suitable port because it was facing south.
The people on the Ship had no Clue who Apostle Paul Was and therefore felt the Sailors professional opinion held more weight.
The word apostle or apostolos is from the Greek, meaning an ambassador; one who is sent; a delegated authority. The word was used for high ranking naval officers in classical Greek times.
An apostle of Jesus Christ was the highest ranking official in the local churches, 1 Cor. 12:28.
Apostles of Jesus Christ were appointed by God the Father for the purpose of establishing churches and spreading new truth, Eph 3:1‑10 There were both the spiritual gift and office of apostleship.
Ephesians 3:1–10 TPT
1 Beloved friends, because of my love for Jesus Christ, I am now his prisoner for the sake of all of you who are not Jews, 2 so that you will hear the gospel that God has entrusted to me to share with you. 3 For this wonderful mystery, which I briefly described, was given to me by divine revelation, 4 so that whenever you read it you will be able to understand my revelation and insight into the secret mystery of the Messiah. 5 There has never been a generation that has been given the detailed understanding of this glorious and divine mystery until now. He kept it a secret until this generation. God is revealing it only now to his sacred apostles and prophets by the Holy Spirit. 6 Here’s the secret: The gospel of grace has made you, non-Jewish believers, into coheirs of his promise through your union with him. And you have now become members of his body—one with the Anointed One! 7 I have been made a messenger of this wonderful news by the gift of grace that works through me. Even though I am the least significant of all his holy believers, this grace-gift was imparted when the manifestation of his power came upon me. Grace alone empowers me so that I can boldly preach this wonderful message to non-Jewish people, sharing with them the unfading, inexhaustible riches of Christ, which are beyond comprehension. 9 My passion is to enlighten every person to this divine mystery. It was hidden for ages past until now, and kept a secret in the heart of God, the Creator of all. 10 The purpose of this was to unveil before every throne and rank of angelic orders in the heavenly realm God’s full and diverse wisdom revealed through the church.
The spiritual gift was the divine enabling to function as an apostle, Eph. 4:11, 1 Cor. 12:28, 29.
Ephesians 4:11 TPT
11 And he has appointed some with grace to be apostles, and some with grace to be prophets, and some with grace to be evangelists, and some with grace to be pastors, and some with grace to be teachers.
Ephesians 4:12 KJV
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
The office of apostleship was the authority to function as an apostle, Rom. 1:5, Acts 1:25, Gal. 2:8.
Romans 1:5 TPT
5 Through him a joy-producing grace cascaded into us, empowering us with the gift of apostleship, so that we can win people from every nation into a faithful commitment to Jesus, to bring honor to his name.
Galatians 2:8 TPT
8 For the same God who anointed Peter to be an apostle to the Jews also anointed me as an apostle to those who are not Jewish.
In the classical Greek period (4th and 5th centuries B.C.), apostolos was used by Lysias and Demosthenes to refer to the commander of a naval expedition. When the Athenians went to war, there was a number of men qualified to command the fleet. One of these was elected by lot and sent to the fleet to command it. He was called apostolos.
So When we look at this text we find a man with a spiritual Gift enabling him to function as a Admiral and the office of Apostleship to function in Authority of an Admiral.
And yet they prefer to follow advice of a sailor
Paul has three Sets Of Members On his Church I mean ship.
The Sailors, they where assigned to bring the Ship to the Course God designed the Apostle to get to, ROME.
The Soldiers, the where assigned to Protect the man of God and assure that by any means necessary he gets to his appointed destination.
The Inmates:They where assigned to see the hand of God protect, provide and Deliver them through the man of God. (they had nothing to lose.)
All three sets totaled 276 People Paul was responsible for: (Wait Paul was in Chains) He was an Inmate..)But there destiny was tied to his....
What Changed was when the Storm Hit the boat...
Acts 27:13–15 GNB
13 A soft wind from the south began to blow, and the men thought that they could carry out their plan, so they pulled up the anchor and sailed as close as possible along the coast of Crete. 14 But soon a very strong wind—the one called “North-easter”—blew down from the island. 15 It hit the ship, and since it was impossible to keep the ship headed into the wind, we gave up trying and let it be carried along by the wind.
Everybody looks like and act’s Like a Boss Until the Storm Hits...

The Text says: You Ready?
Acts 27:30–32 TPT
30 Some sailors pretended to go down to drop anchors from the bow when in fact they wanted to lower the lifeboat into the sea and escape, abandoning ship. 31 Paul said to the Roman officer and his soldiers, “Unless you all stay together onboard the ship, you have no chance of surviving.” 32 At the moment they heard this, the soldiers cut the ropes of the dinghy and let it fall away.
