Designer's Desire

Designer: a person who plans the form, look, or workings of something before its being made or built, typically by drawing it in detail

Jeremiah 1:4–5 NIV

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

1. Purpose by Design

Jeremiah 1:6–7 ESV

Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak.

2. Fear messes with the Design by distracting from Purpose

Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.”

Desire: a strong feeling of wanting to have something or wishing for something to happen

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;

6. Trust leads to Delight, Delight leads to Desire, Desire realized leads to more Commitment to the Designer

7. We have become a part of the Design Team

See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
