In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them, a male and a female. It is fixed. There is no other gender. Homosexuality and transgender cannot make us be fruitful. Today’s gender ideology is an outspoken rebellion against the Creator God.
The earth was without form and void.
So God created order from chaos. He seperated light from darkness, waters above and under expanse and water and dry land.
Day 1. God seperated light from darkness.
Day 2. God seperated waters above and under the expanse.
Day 3. God seperated dry land from water.
Filling:
Day 4. God filled heavens with luminaries, even sun, moon and stars.
Day 5. God filled sky with flying birds and water with swarms of living creature.
Day 6. God filled the surface of earth with living creature.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
What does the image of God mean?
God’s purpose in creating human life in His image was functional: man is to rule or have dominion. God’s dominion was presented by a “representative.”
Man is a deputy ruler of the earth. As God created order out of chaos, light in the darkness and filled heavens, sky, water and the surface of the earth, man will rule all creature with orderiness and fil the earth.
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
Many religions and philosophies think that material world is dirty or inferior than spitritual world. But God said “It was very good.” No one can say what God said “It was very good” as bad.
Day 1. “And God saw that the light was good.”
Day 2.
Day 3. “And God saw that it was good.”
Day 4. “And God saw that it was good.”
Day 5. “And God saw that it was good.”
Day 6. “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”
Genesis 2:1–3 (ESV)
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.
The Garden of Eden was a temple and the kingdom of God. As God said to them “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth,” they could have expanded the Garden of Eden on entire surface of the earth.
Culture Commission
1st Great Commission
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
This commission has never been canceled and the great commission is for the restoration of the 1st commission.
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”
