The Magnificat the scripture is profound about the prolific and pronounced song of Mary.Mary the mother of GOD also called the Theotokos. 2x. If you research carefully and prayerfully you’ll discover Mary is in the books of Genesis and in Revelation. And so I have a hard time accepting the denominational down play of the significance of who St Mary really is.

It is clearly evident that she’s not demiurge or deity and she’s certainly not a equal with God. She’s no fourth leg or fourth enitity to the Trinity. There is no such thing as God the Father God the Son God the Holy Ghost then God sister Mary.

However; Mary was a chosen vessel of God, who was highly favored, who was blessed with the greatest gift to give to mankind, And Mary was the bearer of God’s only begotten Son Jesus.

The Angel Gabriel makes a prophetic, profound, and prolific announcement that Mary is going to have a baby by the Holy Spirit. She declares that she is a virgin. The angel says in essence, “Mary The Lord knows that and that’s why he chose you”.

Mary was excited about the assignment and was a willing vessel. I like it because you’ve got to be a willing vessel to do God’s work properly.

And so upon hearing the announcement from Gabriel that her cousin Elizabeth is is also having a baby boy in her old age, Mary set out to go and visit Elizabeth. And the Church said Amen.

People use to check on you when they heard good news like this. The bible says in Luke 1 that a supernatural phenomenon happened when Mary got in Elizabeth’s presence.

And when God has a calling on your life, He called you before you were even born. The bible says that God told Jeremiah that called in your mother’s womb to be a preacher for the nation. And God calls Pastors according to His own heart.

And when Mary heard and saw all of these extraordinary supernatural events, she began to compose, arrange, and sing a brand new song. She sang her song. 3x. I don’t care if you can’t carry a tune in a bucket everybody ought to have a song. Let’s deal with The canticle of Mary Look at Luke 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. The title of this sermonic pericapee is the Magnificat 3x. Magnificat means the witnessing to the fulfillment of God’s promisesa proclmation of God’s preference for the poor and less fortunate its a hymn of praise.Mary Magnified the Lord with all of her heart The Latin version is Magnificat anima mea Dominum. This is a part of the Latin vulgate and is among the earliest of the original writing of the bible. And the reason you need to know this is because you need to know how deep how pure and how sincere Mary was when she composed this great Song. and there are several parts that I’d like to point out . Let me read it from the NCV Bible 46 Then Mary said, “My soul praises the Lord; 47 my heart rejoices in God my Savior, 48 because he has shown his concern for his humble servant girl. From now on, all people will say that I am blessed, 49 because the Powerful One has done great things for me. His name is holy. 50 God will show his mercy forever and ever to those who worship and serve him.51 He has done mighty deeds by his power. He has scattered the people who are proud and think great things about themselves. 52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones and raised up the humble. 53 He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with nothing. 54 He has helped his servant, the people of Israel, remembering to show them mercy, 55 as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his children forever.”

The people were often hungry because it was a two status society the very rich and the very poor so they were downtrodden and discouraged and they couldn’t fight the system. and Mary believed that God turning everything upside down. Yeah in verses 50-53 Mary is saying that the weak would dethrone the mighty, the humble would scatter the proud and the nobodies would be exalted the hungry would be filled and the rich would become poor. This a special song that Mary has written because I’m all in this song.You’re all in this song. We’re all in this song. God’s suffering servant Jesus would help the people fulfill His purposes because God was on Israel’s side back then and God is on Israel’s side in 2023 and God is on our side right now today. And the church said Amen. 3.God will keep His Promise and continue giving His mercy. 4. God used Israel to bring Jesus Christ into the world that the world through Him might be saved. Mary had a magnificent song that is still lasting through all generations and it makes me shout it make me praise God and it make me have a spirit of gratitude and grateful grace with what Jesus has done for us. When I think about the goodness of the Lord my soul cries out. The Magnificat is a great song that is not preached or taught or sanged enough. Because what if Mary was low down and trifling? What if Mary was an unfaithful woman? What if Mary didn’t have a working relationship with God. It was obvious that Mary knew Scripture because 2/3 of her song was based on Old Testament Scripture.And again if you really love God you’ll find out what His word says concerning your life.This is important business. What if Mary has irreverence for the Holy Oracles of God and didn’t take the Angel Gabriel serious or blew off the fact of the Holy Ghost overshadowing her and impregnating her or that Elizabeth’s baby leaped in her womb and got filled with the Holy Ghost, the world would be in trouble.I’m so thankful and grateful and blessed because of Mary’s contribution to mankind. Mary’s role in all of this is what bridges the Human with the divine.
