All Things

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

, Ro 8:28.

You’ll never make it threw this life without having something to look forward to.

Paul had been imprisoned, countless beatings often times near death, beaten with rods, 40 lashes -1, stoned, shipwrecked, in danger from rivers, robbers and his own people, he had been through hardship and hunger.

Through all of that Paul could say that God works all things for good. Because paul kept eternity in veiw threw all of it. thats why he could say in Romans 8:18 “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

Paul knew where he was was heading and nothing could change that.

Everyone in this room is going to face things. Do you know where your heading and do you know that God is working the things that come into our live for your good and his glory?

1. And we know

A. We have to know who God is.

God is the creator of all things and is sovereign.

Colossians 1:15–17 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

B. We have to know God is our redeemer.

Ephesians 1:7 “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,”

2. Those Who love God

The promise of Romans 8:28 is conditional and only applies to those that love God

If your not a beliver I came to tell you that God loves you and he sent his son to die for you so that you could recieve the promise of eternity with Jesus!

Today you have a choice you can either believe and have life or not believe and be condemed.

John 3:16–18 ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”

The only way to see eternity is through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life no one comes to the father except through me.

3. all things work together for good,

All Things Means All Things

Each and every circumstans or situation even the pain and suffering you have been through or are going to go through

If you’ve trusted Jesus as Lord and Savior he is working All things for your Good and his Glory.

You might not see it in the moment But God is always Working!

13 years ago I was burnered 70 percent of my body making meth at the time You would think how can anything Good come from this.

The doctors told my family i wouldn’t make it through the night i had a zero percent chance of living . I spent 18 days in a coma. 2 months on life support. 7 skin graph surgeries. I had to learn how to walk again.

I can look back and see how God was working everything that I had ever been through for my Good and his Glory.

4. Work together for Good

How does God work things togther for good?

In the greek the words work together is the word SUNERGOS. It’s were we get the word SENERGY.

This is it’s definition- It’s the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their seperate affects.

When the Holy Spirit is added to your life God can take everything and work it for good! in ways you could never imagen.

Have you ever baked a cake?

you got all these ingrediants and you mix them all together and bake it and out comes this amazing thing at the end.

But have you ever tried the ingrediants by themselves?

Have you ever ate baking powder by it’s self?

Have you ever ate flower by it’s self?

What about a raw egg?

If you tasted all the ingrediants one by one you would think there is no way that’s going to turn out Good at the end.

You may be here and looking at your life the same way. with everything you’ve done, with everything you’ve been through and everything you’er going to go through how can anything Good come out of this.

The Holy Spirit is the synergy that can take everything in your life and work it together for your good and Gods Glory.

God has a purpose for your life and that purpose is for you to look like his son Jesus Christ when we all stand before him.

God Wants to use all the things that this life hands you to mold you and shape you to the image of Jesus.

Paul knew the promise of eternity and knew that no matter what happened in this life God was using it for his glory and 1 day it would all be made right. romans 8:18

Revelation 21:1–4 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.””

Do you know the promise of eternity today?

Relize your a sinner in need of a savior

repent of your sin and turn to Jesus and the promise of etrnity where everything will be made right.
