Matthew 9:27–30
27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.”
Are you willing to Crying out
In Luke’s gospel it says this
Luke 18:37–39 (ESV)
37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” 38 And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
how often do we know we need to cry out to God and we let something keep us from doing it.
How often do we let our own self, our mind, keep us from knowing and trusting our ability to Cry out to jesus.
Psalm 18:6 (ESV)
6 In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.
Psalm 34:17–18 (ESV)
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
Do You Believe
This is the real question for us.
we can think it
We can say it
but is the belief, if we are honest, we struggle
This is a heart issue not a head issues
Jesus Gives us promises that our belief will bring change
Mark 11:24 (ESV)
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 9:23 (ESV)
23 And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”
What Can Your Faith Do?
This is not just a general question, this is not one looking for the biblical answer
This is a personal question
Think about it.
What do You Believe your faith can do
can it bring peace when you are stressed
can it bring comfort when things around you are broken
Can it bring healing into your life
Can it change the people around you
Lastly can it open up doors, opportunities, or parking spots
Faith is what we use to change the way we walk in every situation.
Faith moves what needs to move, change what needs to change
Mark 11:22–23 (ESV)
22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about it.” 31 But they went away and spread his fame through all that district.
What Now
After crying out
after assuring our faith
we find our self
We find healing
1 Peter 2:24 (ESV)
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Not just physical healing,
but mental healing,
emotional healing,
Social Healing,
Family Healing
Relationship healing
1 John 1:8–9 (ESV)
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Cleans us
forgiveness
grace
mercy
wholeness
