14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Introduction
There were many different kinds of servants in Jesus time, ranging from trusted advisors to manual labor.
Bro. Branham calls them “flunkys”.
And then, there was another flunky that I like, the cheapest flunky of all of them, and that was the foot-wash flunky. He was the poorest paid man of the bunch.
He didn’t just take on the form of a servant, but the lowest servant.
1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
That’s what makes Him God to me. He was the Highest of the highs and took the part of a foot-wash flunky on earth. And we walk around, think we’re somebody. And the God of Glory, revealing the glory of God, washed the feet of fishermen.
And that’s what makes Him real, become a Servant, the lowest of servants, went down upon His knees to wash the feet of the very created dust that He made. Amen. 62-0630E - "The Meanest Man In Santa Maria"
That’s good for Him, but what about us?
We are supposed to reveal the Glory of God the same way.
Bro. Branham talking about Solomon’s Reign:
What we need is a revival of coming all the way from the pulpit to the janitor, stir it up, an old fashion, backwoods, sky-blue, God-sent Pentecostal revival. That’s right. Not whitewashed, but washed white.
That’s right. Not saying, talk about the glory of God, but the God of Glory revealing the glory of God. That’s what we need in the Church today. 62-0628 - "A Greater Than Solomon Is Here"
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
“He made of Himself no reputation.” Did you ever think? The man that made an artificial eye, made a reputation; the man that made false teeth, made a reputation; the man that made a wooden arm, made a reputation for himself.
But the Man Who made the original eye, the Man Who made the original arm, “made of Himself no reputation,” but become a Servant, a Bondsman, unto men who were sinners, that He might win them back. 56-0401M - "The Mighty Conqueror"
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
When we see the Glory of God revealed as a foot-wash flunky, we are changed into that same image.
True Humility is a revelation.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
It was upon the spiritual revelation of Himself. See? “Flesh and blood…” You never learned this in a seminary, as good as they are. You never learned this by some church creed, as good as it is. It’s all right, but flesh and blood has not revealed this to you.
It’s not an intellectual conception of how you can make your speech, how you must bow yourself, how or what great thing you must do here on earth. That isn’t what it is. It isn’t build a great thing or do a great thing. What it is, is a revelation of the Word of God.
He was the Word. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made manifest and dwelt among us.” He was…that was the revelation of the Word of God.
The Spirit in Peter revealing by spiritual revelation that He was the Son of God made manifest. The God of Glory manifesting the glory of God. “Upon this rock (spiritual revelation of the Word) I’ll build My Church.” 60-0308 - "Discernment Of Spirit"
Nothing will prevail over this revelation!
He hides and reveals Himself in Humility.
And Mark 11:24, “Whatever you say to this mountain, ‘move,’ and don’t doubt in your heart, but believe that what you’ve said will come to pass, you can have what you’ve said.” Where’s the pentecostal Church at, today? Amen.
You don’t realize that confessed, truly confessed sin, omits sin. If there’s no omit to it…It builds a bridge across this chasm, that takes man back in the Presence of His Creator and makes him a son of God. Amen. “He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also.” Amen. There you are.
“Verily I say unto you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be moved,’ and don’t doubt in your heart, but believe that what you’ve said will come to pass, you can have what you’ve said.” Glory to God. It’s my God revealing Himself in humility. See?
God taking a humble sinner and cleansing him by His Blood, and dropping that confessed sin into that Clorox bleach of the Blood of Son of God, and putting His Own Life into that man, by the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Now, you’ve called us a Beelzebub, of visions and things like that. Get off of my back. Brother, get down to the cross. Get to the Gospel. We don’t have to impersonate. Why would you take an impersonation? Why would you take some false conception of It?
When, the skies are full of genuine Pentecostal power that makes a man or a woman, a son or daughter of God, that takes him back in the Presence of God. Amen. There you are. God revealing Himself in humility.
You’ve got to get away from your own thoughts. You’ve got to let the mind that was in Christ be in you. You’ve got to stay there till every sin of fear, every sin of doubt has gone from your heart.
And if you’re there, and God doesn’t take you and omit your sins and send you into the Presence of God, there is something wrong with your experience.
I don’t care how many degrees of doctor you have, how much big church you are, what kind of a big wheel you belong to, how many organizations, whatever it is, has nothing to do with it, until your sins are confessed and in the Blood of Jesus Christ.
You stand unadulterated, a born-again son and daughter of God, with the Life of God in you, to speak a Word of creation, “Let this mountain be moved,” and it’ll mind you. Amen.
God revealing Himself in humility. He picks up them kind that’s has no education. He picks up them kinds will just believe that. “I thank Thee, Father, Creator of heavens and earth, Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent.”
What did He do? Humble Himself to death, on good Friday afternoon, that He might rise on Easter Sunday, amen, to send back the Holy Spirit upon the Church, with a double portion of It, that we might do the same things that He do, that He did.
He promised, “These signs will follow them that believe.” And how far we get away from Him, by our traditions! There you are.
God hiding Himself in humility, revealing Himself in power, that’s the way God does it. That’s God’s program of doing it, yes, sir, that He may bring sons across this chasm. 63-0412E - "God Hiding Himself In Simplicity"
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
The Bride Revival is not a preacher or a church, it’s Christ in you.
Just as Sarah tried to bring the promise of the supernatural by a hand-picked Hagar, so has the church, trying to bring a revival. Our great evangelists across the countries today, “A revival in our time! A revival in our time!
All you Methodists, Baptists, Pentecostals, all get together.” How can you have a revival of fresh Manna on an old, dead, vultured food? How can you have it, revival in our time?
The revival will be so small they’ll never know it ever happened.
Pentecostals said, “Oh, there is going to be a great thing happen.” It’s happening, and they don’t know it. See, that’s it. See? Yes, sir. “For where the Carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered,” just as sure as the world.
That’s what It said. What is the Carcass? The Word. He is the Word, the Carcass, Christ! “Christ in you,” the same yesterday, today, and forever. How true It is! 65-0218 - "The Seed Is Not Heir With The Shuck"
If you do the works of Christ, you reveal the Glory of God by washing the saints feet.
10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
Some people try to say it’s not necessary. Certainly, I don’t mean to say that people’s feet need washing. That isn’t it. Maybe theirs did not either. But it was an act of humility. It’s a act of doing, just as essential as water baptism.
Because He has said here, that, “I have given you an example, that you should do to each other as I have done to you.”
And we find out that a widow could not be brought in among the people unless she had lodged strangers and had washed the feet of the saints, showing ourselves humble.
That, if anything that we want to be, is humble, ’cause that’s the secret to power, is through humility. 62-1104E - "Ordination"
The God of Glory is revealing Himself in you as you wash one another’s feet. It’s that simple. This is part of the Bride’s revival.
