The house of God must be clean.
Jesus went into the Temple and began driving out those who were selling. ‘According to scripture,’ he said ‘my house will be a house of prayer. But you have turned it into a robbers’ den.
Before his passion Jesus clean the temple, remain always that is a sacred place where God is present, that is why we observed some rulers, like do not eat or drink soft drinks, do not chewing, keep silence and, observed a respected position at seat, do not play, because we are in a Holy Place where God dwells.
In the time of Jesus, it seems like they forget about this and were using the house to make his delay activities, rather to pray and worship God. So the anger of Jesus is because they mis respect the temple, using for another thing.
But we have to remember that also our body is a temple because by the grace of baptism God come to dwells in us and when we miss respect our body and the body of other we destroy also the temple of God.
18 Avoid immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Co 6:18–20
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.
We destroy our body when we used it to commit a sin, and not to worship God, and if we disrespect our body God will destroy us, what are you doing with your body, are you using to worship God or you are worshiping the evil…
This day remember I have to respect the temple of God, because is a holy place,
And I have to respect my body because is also a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit.
