1. Endure hardship or suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ

2. Never allow yourself to get tied up with the affairs of this life

a.when you enlist, you leave the old life behind

b.you have to stay on task

3. Your job is to please Him who has chosen you to be a soldier

a.you must be laser focused on Jesus Christ

4. You can’t win the prize unless you follow the rules

a.no cheating allowed

b.you can compete, but you can’t win
