Rest - we can rest because of Hope.

Biblical hope vs secular hope.

how can we find rest in Hope.

1. The availability of rest. (vv. 1-3)

Proverbs 1:7 “7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

1 Thessalonians 5:1–3 “1 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.”

Ecclesiastes 7:2 “2 It is better to go to a house of mourning Than to go to a house of feasting, Because that is the end of every man, And the living takes it to heart.”

2. The acceptance of rest. (vv. 4-11)
