CIT:Jesus expects his followers to link arms in humility and pursue him.

I. Pursue holiness (vv. 1-6)

Jesus illustrates this with the plank

The beam described here is a ship’s main mast.

a. Repent from your sin.

II. Seek Help (7-11)

Why would Jesus follow “don’t judge” with “seek and you will find?

It answer the question his audience is thinking: How to I remove the massive beam

If you had such a large piece of wood iin your eye, do you think you’d be able to pull it out?

Our Father helps us just as a father should

III. Give help (12)

If someone seeks help, you better help

Remember In the summer when we spoke about the law?

we learned that the law was wholly concerned with treating others like image bearers

MPS: Christ delivers his people from sin. We must pursue him.
