Given authority to give eternal life to those who “He” (Father) had given
Father glorify both You and I together (v.5) as I finished my task here and I return to former state as before the world was.
This week, prayer for the disciples
Jesus knew the hour has come; He remembers everything He had taught the disciples. He knew the troubled hearts they had and what was need to calm the troubled hearts.
Jesus promised them help for they were going to need it for the world was going to hate them. He instructed them to love one another, to hold onto one another

8 for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me. 9 “I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom You have given Me; for they are Yours;

Anything stick out to you? Any words you think should be defined?
For me the word manifested: (adj): clear or obvious to the eye or mind. (verb): display or show (a quality or feeling) by one's acts or appearance; demonstrate.
What did Jesus do in the Fathers name (v.6)? What did the Father do? What did the disciples do (v.6)?
Manifested the Fathers name to those whom the Father gave to Him.
They, the disciples kept the Fathers word (since they kept Jesus word)
What did the disciples understand (v.7)?
Everything Jesus did was from the Father
What did Jesus give to the disciples (v.8)? What did the disciples understand here in (v.8)?
Gave the Fathers words, for everything was from the father (v.7) Everything the Father gave, Jesus gave to them who the Father gave to Him.
They understood that He came from the Father and that the Father had sent Him.
Who are the they are Yours (v.9)? - extra credit, it may take some extra thought
It is the disciples, the ones the Father gave to the Son, for they are the Fathers!
What is “all” things (v.10)?
All things that are Jesus are the Fathers; all things that are the Fathers are Jesus
