1st occurrence:
Genesis 27:4 “And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.”
Note these surroundings:
Something was made.
Something was brought.
Something was consumed.
Something was promised.
If Isaac is a type of God the Father and Jacob is a type of Christ:
A sacrifice was made by the son for the father.
An offering was brought by the son to the father.
The father accepted it and no more would be accepted or required.
The father promised all to the son.
We must learn to love as we are taught by the Lord Himself.
Matthew 22:36–40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
These are the Lord’s LESSONS on love.

I. You Love Each Unconditionally.

Romans 12:1–2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

II. You Love Each Universally.

Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”
Philippians 1:27 “Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;”

III. You Love Each Urgently.

Luke 18:8 “I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
Ephesians 6:6 “Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;”
