The exposition of the armor of God continues this Sunday. We will look at Ephesians 6:17b and “The Sword of the Spirit.” The study of the theme of the Messiah’s sword in the Old Testament and then is used in the New Testament is both fascinating and instructive. We see that the great “weapon” of the Christ to come is not a great army, nor sophisticated technology of armaments, but the inspired Word. Let us take up this same sword, brothers, and wield it against our foes.
