Night 1
Welcome and Prayer
Good evening!
Thank you all for coming to our first ever global missions conference!
Thank you to everyone who has helped put this on and thanks for all the vendors that showed and made tonight already a success!
I hope that you all had a chance to visit with all the vendors and were able to eat some delicious treats as well.
Did you eat the choc/peanut rice crispy… oh man! I will getting another one!
Today as we gather to support mission and to kick off our Global missions month!
We will be praying and talking about and collecting a special offering for missions.
As we start tonight and through the rest of the month be praying about how you can sacrificially give towards our special offering and goal of raising 30,000.
Tonight my hope is that we have a great time worshiping our king!
We are going to sing some praise songs to kick this thing off and then hear some updates about how the last year of missions went!
That we have a special guest with us, George Pordea, I am so excited to hear from his heart tonight about how we can use our freedom in Christ.
So lets get on our feet and I will pray as we begin tonight!
Lord you are good!
Thank you for all that you have done this last year through the missions efforts here at Freshwater.
We lift this night up to you!
God we pray that we will have a heart for the not just what is happening locally but also for what is happening among the nations.
God as we enter a time of praise— may we lift our eyes to the only one and only king!
Lord we love you— In Jesus name
Amen
Next up tonight where we will hear about our regional missions.
I would like to Introduce Trevor Isringhausen as our deacon over regional missions.
Our regional missions are an opportunity for family mission trips.
Last year we took 31 people to Billings MT and 15 were kids to help three churches.
Trevor is going to share with us about this next summers family mission trip, where we are going, and how you can start planning to go.
Thank you team!
I just want to take a moment and talk to you about Love|JC
LoveJC stands for loving our community well.
As we launched Love|JC we began with a ten year anniversary over at the amipthetere here in Jeff City where we invited the community out to help us celebrate but also to launch our love|jc movement.
and that was followed up with our Love|JC labor for your neighbor.
It is about going out and being part of our community.
As much as we want our community to come to us we at times must take the first step and love our community first.
It is about loving those around us well and sharing the Gospel to those around us.
2023 was the start and we are only looking to ramp up the effort in 2024.
We will be doing Love|JC labor for your neighbor in April this year and then having a huge Love JC Fall festival.
While those are two huge event that people can get involved in:
We also have lots of other things happening with Love JC!
We are going to be remodeling the pioneer trail school teachers lounge.
Lot of time student get a lot of the attention, which I’m not knocking, but we have taken it up on ourselves to love on our teachers!
We still are partnering with 6 schools so far to love on their teachers.
and for the future we would love to see not only love|Jc but also Love|Cali, love|wardsville, Love|russellville, love|holts Simmit and other surrounding areas.
Love|JC we believe is how we will continue to make an impact in places that are shut off to churches.
Love|JC is going outside our walls.
I always keep that question in my mind that if Freshwater were to close it’s doors tomorrow would the community know?
And As we continue with our Love|JC efforts we already see the answer is yes.
Our Prayer is that we never get to a place where that answer is no.
Thank you for your support and keep looking for more opportunities to serve our city!
Let us continue in worship tonight.
During invitation if just give a general invitation to pray for how you will use your own Christian freedom to further Gods kingdom, for freshwater missions and what you might be willing to give towards our Global Missions offering during the final song.
