Daily Bread

When we ask God for our daily bread were not asking simply for a loaf of bread
im sure that some of you either now or at some point were thinking it was that
What is actually talked about is gods care and provision for us.
When Moses was in the desert
Israel existed on a manna economy
Exodus 16:3 ESV
3 and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”
The lord heard his people and he provided for them
he cared for their needs and met them
for them it was literally bread

Not bread for us

references proverbs 30
Proverbs 30:8–9 ESV
8 Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, 9 lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.
this text isn't simply about god giving us what we need for today. but it is recognizing that all comes from him
and that me may provide for us today tomorrow and forever

Change in direction

Move for your to ours
after establishing the holiness of God and rightly positioning ourselves with in his grace Jesus opens with asking God for something
We have aligned our wills with God when we pray your will be done
so going forward we are now in a right posture to ask God.
we want to ensure when we pray were not treating god like Santa and just listing our wants but rather going with what pleases his heart
you being provided for cared and loved pleases his heart
you going for forgivness
going with needs and wants even
