Recap

1 - Angel appears to Zachariah - you will have a son in your old age, his name will be John. Since you didn’t believe what was told to you in the Holy of Holies, you are now silent until he is born.
2 - Angel appears to a young lady named Mary who was engaged to a righteous man named Joseph. Mary you are favored by God, so you will have a son who will be the Child of the Most High God. This has never happened before, but this is how it will happen!
Nothing is impossible with God!
Question? Have you found your impossible? That thing that is just so outside there and crazy to pray for that praying for it feels like you are praying for Dr Pepper to rain out of the sky? The salvation of someone? The healing of someone?

Today we pick up after those events.

The word of God begins with: In those days, Mary set out and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah.
In what days? Simple: Shortly after this meeting with an angel. See I read this and the angel is talking about Mary is going to carry the son of God. It must mean in the days of the pregnancy.
God said it was going to happen. And when it did happen, she said it is TIME! There is almost always a period of waiting in the Bible, because God’s timing is perfect and our timing is not.
How long was it between the prophecy and the event? Who knows. The Word of God does not say. All we know is: It happened just as God said!
Luke 1:39–45 CSB
In those days Mary set out and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah where she entered Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped inside her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and your child will be blessed! How could this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill what he has spoken to her!”
Luke 1:41 CSB
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped inside her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Baby LEAPED inside her!

If this does not tell you that babies in the womb are living, alive, human beings! The unborn person is a person! And this person was filled with the Holy Spirt!
Luke 1:15 CSB
For he will be great in the sight of the Lord and will never drink wine or beer. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.
This baby John was FULL of the Holy Spirit in the WOMB!
And the Word of God tells us that when those who are filled with the Spirit get excited, that the FIRE SPREADS! That the Holy Spirit moving is contagious!
It says with there in Luke 1:41
Luke 1:41 CSB
When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped inside her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
The Baby leaped insider her and ELIZABETH WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT!
The Baby was so excited that his leap for Joy caused joy to spread!
Luke 1:42–45 CSB
Then she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and your child will be blessed! How could this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill what he has spoken to her!”
The Baby leaped and momma got WOOOO - Ladies yall know what happens when that Baby get to jumping!
Especially if that little baby uses your bladder as a trampoline! Nothing makes you move faster!
But Baby John here starts leaping and momma starts praising!
Mary Blessed are you among women, and your child will be blessed!
John starts praising in the WOMB and Elizabeth starts praising in the ROOM!
Blessing start flowing!
Mary you are blessed. Your child is Blessed.
And I am so blessed! I cannot believe that the mother of my Lord should come to me!
Mary going how do you know?
Luke 1:44–45 CSB
For you see, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby leaped for joy inside me. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill what he has spoken to her!”
When you are filled with the Spirit, when you are in tune with the actions of God, you are sensitive to the presence of the Holy Spirit! You can feel when God is moving and when the blessing is radiating!
And Mary can’t help but praise as well!
Luke 1:46–55 CSB
And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, because he has looked with favor on the humble condition of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed, because the Mighty One has done great things for me, and his name is holy. His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear him. He has done a mighty deed with his arm; he has scattered the proud because of the thoughts of their hearts; he has toppled the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly. He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering his mercy to Abraham and his descendants forever, just as he spoke to our ancestors.
Oh what beautiful words. They echo the Words of Hannah in 1 Samuel, as she praised the Lord for the Birth of the Prophet Samuel. Samuel who would anoint the great King David!
And now we have this praise echoed over the birth of the line Descendent of David, the TRUE KING, Whose Kingdom would last forever!
Luke 1:56 CSB
And Mary stayed with her about three months; then she returned to her home.
