“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations...”
Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for this day to come into your presence, to lift our songs of praise to you, to hear your word spoken over us, and to bring to you both our gifts and our burdens.
Lord, we have strayed from you this past week. We have sinned in thought, word, and deed. We have not love you with our whole heart, and we have not loved our neighbor as our self. We repent, O Lord, of all our sins. We especially repent of the sins that you are bringing to our mind right now: _________________. As your word declares, Isaiah 53:5–6 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have all turned to our own way, and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” We receive your forgiveness. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
We prayer for those in our church and family who are suffering trials and tribulations, sickness, and injury. Lord, bring deliverance by your mighty hand. We pray this morning especially for those we carry in our hearts: _________________. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
Father, pray this morning for all those who are separated from you.
Those who have listened to the lies of the enemy. Lord, we lift the names of those we love who need your mercy: ___________. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
And we pray, Lord, that you would make us your faithful witnesses of your power to transform lives. Give us boldness, Father, to share our testimony with others, to take risks to pray for healing, to be active participants in your coming kingdom. Spirit, we pray for revival to come to our church, our city, and our land. Let that spark be lit here. Lord, hear our prayer.
Yes, Lord, amen.
Merciful God, who sent your messengers the prophets to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation: Give us grace to heed their warnings and forsake our sins, that we may greet with joy the coming of Jesus Christ our Redeemer; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
