Good News of Great Joy

Psalm 107:1–3 CSB
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his faithful love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord proclaim that he has redeemed them from the power of the foe and has gathered them from the lands— from the east and the west, from the north and the south.
For those who have tasted and shave seen the goodness and the faithful love of God- it is a call to exclaim it!
Let the Redeemed Proclaim what God has done
Let them announce their redemption from their enemy
Redeemed- to ransom , to buy back or to deliver-
If you are Redeemed- You have been Purchased by the Blood of the Lamb!
The Gospel is good news!
Luke 2:10 CSB
But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people:
Good News for you and for me- God love People
God loves this world and God wants to redeem this world
What does redemption look like?
Redemption is deliverance
“let the Redeemed of the Lord Proclaim that He has redeemed them from the power of the foe.”
The foe-
Enemy
their advisory
From all the lies and the attacks of the Enemy in their loves
Sin gave way for Satan to rule and cause more brokenness and bondage
But God loves this world and because He loves this world He sent a savior
Isaiah 9:6 CSB
For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on his shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
For unto us a Child was born, so that
1 John 3:8 CSB
The one who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
this is why the angels would declare, “Good News of Great Joy that will be for all People”
God is still redeeming cause God still loves this world
the blood of Jesus is still purchasing the worst of sinners and turning them into Children of God
Paul would say,
1 Timothy 1:13–17 CSB
even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them. But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
Paul is saying, “ You can believe that Jesus Christi came to save sinners, because that is what He has done with me!”
This redemption is for All- “and has gathered them from lands- from the east, and the west, from the north, and the south.”

what does redemption look like?

Psalm 107:4–5 CSB
Some wandered in the desolate wilderness, finding no way to a city where they could live. They were hungry and thirsty; their spirits failed within them.
Isaiah said it like this Isa 9:2
Isaiah 9:2 CSB
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; a light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness.
Those who have wandered, not finding any place to belong, and in turn were left thirsty and hungry
Psalm 107:5–7 CSB
They were hungry and thirsty; their spirits failed within them. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; he rescued them from their distress. He led them by the right path to go to a city where they could live.
It was in the moment of trouble when they called on the Lord, and He responded by rescuing them
It you are wandering and you are in the place of Trouble- Call to the Lord because He still rescues
Every healing that took place in the gospels was because there were people in Trouble and Jesus was their only hope.
They called out to him in their trouble
They touched Him in their oppression
He touch they in their brokenness
Romans 10:13 CSB
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; he saved them from their distress. He sent his word and healed them; he rescued them from their traps. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity. Let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices and announce his works with shouts of joy.
