Proverbs 21:10 Evil people desire evil; Evil is equal to Sin Definition of Evil/Sin- The failure of rational free beings (humans) to conform in character and conduct to the will of God.

SO WHO ARE THE EVIL/SINFUL PEOPLE? Romans 5:12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned

*Short answer: every person that has been born!

Story of “BO” jr sr year of high school- our paths crossed many times. driving fast, being in the wrong places with the wrong people.

BO was friendly and respectful when I first meet him, we talked on several occasions during the summer leading into his sr. year I noticed some changes in BO. He desired to be the “cool kid” the one everyone wanted to be around and to be like. So Bo decided the way to accomplish this was to become the “marijuana drug dealer for the high school” BO was the contact, he was the source! Over that year he became the “guy” for beer parties and getting high.

After his graduation, he became more interested in the prestige and popularity so he expanded his business and added Ecstacy to his inventory. This meant he was getting deeper into the drug suppliers from the metroplex.

During the year of 2000 I was promoted to the Drug Task Force and worked drug related crimes. BO had found himself in a harsh world he was not ready for! Drugs, money, AND GUNS. I saw him many times over the next couple of years and warned him about the direction he was going. He would laugh it off.

Around March 2002 I took my oldest son out with me one Saturday night for my tour of duty. He was in the 8th 0r 9th grade. I was trying to give him life examples of poor desires, poor choices and were they lead to. Around Midnight I observed BO walking through the parking lot of some apartments in SS. I had told my son about BO earlier that day. I pulled up beside him and spoke with him. At this time he was not doing anything illegal that I was aware of. We had our normal conversation and I once again tried to speak into his life and talk to him about the Lord and that he didn’t have to continue on his path. As we finished our talk I told BO this; If you keep going down the path you are on, you are going to end up dead.

BO shook his head and said goodbye. This was March 2002.

Proverbs 14:12

There is a path before each person that seems right,
but it ends in death

How can I change my path, my desires? It starts by asking this question! You must be willing to seek knowledge/ Proverbs 1:7

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline

It starts by fearing the Lord! Recognizing that He exist, He is all powerful and is all loving!

Once you have made a choice to seek knowledge and fear the Lord, seek wisdom and instruction! From this church, your youth leaders, your pastor, but mostly by reading God’s word!

Proverbs 30:5

Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection

Make a choice! Romans 10:8-13

In fact, it says,

“The message is very close at hand;

it is on your lips and in your heart.”

And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: 9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”
