Why does David get the praise, the reputation, as a man after God’s own heart even after all he has done, because he loves God. He was loyal to God.

David, The Type of Christ

David defeats Goliath, Jesus defeats Satan
David was a Shepard turned king, Jesus was the Shepard king.
David was unjustly persecuted, Jesus was unjustly persecuted
God had a purpose for David. He has one for you
although, we don't point to the coming messiah, we point all to the messiah that has already come.
