Colossians 1:9–14 (NIV84)
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,
11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

1. Jesus walked by Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 “7 We live by faith, not by sight.”

Sub Point 1.1. Trust in God's Promises

Hebrews 11:1 “1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
Walking like Jesus requires us to trust in God's promises, even when circumstances seem uncertain
Let our faith be unwavering, knowing that God is faithful

Sub Point 1.2. Persevere in the Face of Trials

James 1:12 “12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”
Trials and challenges will come
We must persevere with unwavering faith
God uses trials to refine and strengthen us

Sub Point 1.3. Share Our Faith Boldly

Matthew 28:19–20 “19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.””
As followers of Christ, we are called to share the good news of the Gospel with others
Let us boldly proclaim the truth and impact lives for eternity

2. Jesus Loved Unconditionally

Ephesians 5:2 “2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

Sub Point 2.1. Love Others as Jesus Loves Us

John 13:34–35 “34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.””
Jesus commanded us to love one another just as He loves us
We must love everyone we encounter, showing kindness, compassion, and forgiveness

Sub Point 2.2. Love Our Enemies

Matthew 5:44 “44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”
Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us
When we love our enemies, that love demonstrates the transformative power of Christ's love in our lives

Sub Point 2.3. Love with Action

1 John 3:18 “18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”
Not only lip service
Our love should not be mere words but backed up with genuine actions
Let us actively seek opportunities to serve and meet the needs of others, just as Jesus did

3. Jesus walked in wisdom

Colossians 4:5 “5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.”

Sub Point 3.1. Put Others before Yourself

Philippians 2:3–4 “3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
In humility, consider others more significant than yourselves
Look not only to your own interests but also to the interests of others
By serving selflessly, you display the heart of Jesus.

Sub Point 3.2. Be Quick to Listen and Slow to Speak

James 1:19 “19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,”
Practice active listening and restrain your words
Let your words be seasoned with grace and encourage others in their journey
Seek understanding before being understood

Sub Point 3.3. Respond with Grace and Patience

Be gentle and patient with others, bearing with one another in love
Respond to challenging situations with the grace that Christ has shown you
Your actions can be a testimony of His love

4. Jesus walked in Obedience

Sub Point 4.1. Seek God's Guidance in All Things

In the hustle and bustle of life, it is crucial to seek God's guidance
Trust in Him with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, and acknowledge Him in all your ways
He will make your paths straight
