Read John 1:9
The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
True - no less than what is stated, worthy of the name.
whatever the absolute picture of light is, in all its senses, in all its value, that is Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the True Light who appeared, acquainted himself with creation, and places his fulness at hand for all who believe.

The True Light Appeared - Vs. 9
We are reminded by this statement of this simple fact - the Christmas story is a real story, of a real coming, of a real person, for a real reason, with real implications.
A Point of Revelation
A Point of Revelation
“which gives light to every man”
gives light to every man - the truth of God made known so that all can see. The clearest and most understandable picture of God, who he is, what he wants, and how to know and be known by Him, is in Jesus Christ.
No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

An Ignorance
An Ignorance
The world was made through Him.
This is the blindness and the saddest reality - to be in the world, and to not know the one who created it.
because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.
Truth vs. a lie. Real vs. false.
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

A Novel Birth
A Novel Birth
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

Love - after all, this is the advent day of Love.
The Advent of love. What a way to think of it.
