Jesus is King

King Jesus
Tonight we are lighting the Christmas candle
During this time of the year, we prepare ourselves to celebrate the birth of our Lord and savior and to remind ourselves that He is coming again.
The word advent in the Latin means “coming”
Christians around the world use the four Sundays and weeks of Advent to prepare and remember the real meaning of Christmas.

King Jesus
Thank you for joining us tonight, as we celebrate King Jesus.
we are celebrating the birth of Jesus, but also remembering His promise that He is coming again soon.
thank you for coming, to worship Him with us.
Luk 2:1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.
Luk 2:2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)
Luk 2:3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
Luk 2:4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
Luk 2:5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
Luk 2:6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
Luk 2:7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
The Shepherds and the Angels
Luk 2:8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.
Luk 2:9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
Luk 2:10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Luk 2:11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Luk 2:12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Luk 2:13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
Luk 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
Luk 2:15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."
Luk 2:16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.
Luk 2:17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,
Luk 2:18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.
Luk 2:19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.
Luk 2:20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
My prayer is that tonight you will have a fresh revelation, of Jesus.
Hope this message will lead you into worship, just like Mary ponder all these things in her heart, and led her into worship.
Jesus is King
Let’s pray
Mat 2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
Some of your translation will say wise-man.
Mat 2:2 and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him."
They saw this star, and they came to worship Him.
We don’t know much about the star of Bethlehem or the Magi’s who came from the east, we don’t know how many of them or when they came but they came to worship Jesus the King of the world.
Mat 2:3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
Mat 2:4 When he had called together all the people's chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.
Mat 2:5 "In Bethlehem in Judea," they replied, "for this is what the prophet has written:
Mat 2:6 "'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.'"
Mat 2:7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.
Mat 2:8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
Mat 2:9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
Mat 2:10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
Mat 2:11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
Mat 2:12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

1 Jesus birth is a global story.

Christmas, the birth of Jesus is a story with global repercussion , that’s why we are committing ourselves to see the bible translated into every language in the world, so that the world may know the good news, that Jesus is King, and God loves us.
Matthew begins his gospel addressing a Jewish audience, connecting Jesus to Abraham and King David, introducing, Jesus as the rightful King, their messiah,
Mat 1:17 Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.
but right after the birth of Jesus comes the Magi’s, they came from the east to worship Him, no longer a story in Bethlehem but a global story.
Jesus the King of the world.
Over 300 prophecies were fulfilled in Jesus.
When the Magi’s saw Jesus, Their wonder turned into worship.
He is a rightful King, Is He your King?

2 Jesus was born King,

His earthly father was a carpenter and His heavenly Father Yahweh. At the moment he was born he was already a king.
Soon after His birth he came under persecution a great attack.
The kingdom of darkness went into panic, What in the world is heaven doing sending this king, to earth, it was instant opposition.
Herod was a demonstration on earth of what was happening in hell.
Herod said he wanted to worship the king, Harold was about Harold and his kingdom selfish and evil, later we will see why he wanted to worship Jesus.
Herod was under Roman rules he was placed to be over Judea by the Romans
He was a wicked King, he was trying to figure out how old was this baby, when the Magi’s didn’t go back to him he was angry
Mat 2:16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi.
He made his own calculations and arrived to the conclusion that had been about 2 years since they first saw the star.
He ordered to kill every male child under 2 years of age. In Bethlehem and its vicinity.
This was how the kingdom of darkness tried to snuff out God’s plan for The salvation of world, right from the beginning.
I have attended many baby ‘s luaus’ and baby showers, but I have never seen, and you probably never saw anyone being gifted with, gold, frankincense and myrrh, and none were worshiped.
Myrrh, was for his burial.
Frankincense, his fragrance, worship
Gold because He is the King
This baby was born king of the world, God’s love and plan for the salvation of the world, that’s why darkness wanted to destroy Him.
Mat 2:13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him."
Mat 2:14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,
Mat 2:15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son."
The angels were guiding Him, they showed up in a dream to Joseph and he sent them to Egypt and after Herod was dead the angel came back again and told them to go back to Israel where they end up in Nazareth.

3 Jesus a name above all names

God was not afraid of the Romans or the people in power, or of Satan and demons, just it was not Jesus time.
He was to grow up, demonstrate God’s heart towards men, walk in obedience, until the point that he would say not my will but yours be done, then you can take Him.
Php 2:5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
Php 2:7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Php 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
Php 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
Php 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Php 2:11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Before this king every knee will bow
This journey brings wisemen to Jesus, and till this day wisemen are seeking Him. And at the mention of His name, they bow down and worship Him.
at the end of all, that’s where we are going to be, on our knees before Jesus, because Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords
Right now we are in the middle of all these things we have king Jesus, we have Harod going we have king me going and king you.
And as I share this message there are some people listening who have never bow down to King Jesus.
There are those, who pray, they make the sign of the cross they have even clap their hands, but they have never bow down to Jesus, surrendering the entire lives to the King of kings to the lord of Lords.
Jesus is King, Is He your King ?
His birth is a global story.
He was born King
His name is above all names.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Joh 3:16 To receive Jesus we need to accept Him as God’s son,
we need to repent from our sins and a life of selfishness,
ask Him to be your Lord and savior, not that we deserve it, but is a gift from God.
If you never bow down to Him this is a good time
If this is your desire tonight, please repeat this prayer after me?
Heavenly Father I’m sinner, I’m sorry for my sins,
I’m willing to turn away from my sins. I receive Christ as my savior, I confess Him as Lord And from this moment on, I want to follow and serve Him, in the fellowship of His church, In Jesus name, Amen!
1Co 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1Co 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.
1Co 11:27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
Heb 9:14 dead works, acts, sins
E mau aku ka loko maika’i o ka Haku, Iesu Kristo; me ke aloha a ke Akua, a me ka launa pu ‘ana mai o ka Uhane Hemolele ia ‘olua, a me makou apau. Amene.
