THE LOVE OF GOD ,

I have a word and I shall simply type not knowing what that word shall be, because it is'nt about me but about Him and He shall give me the words

Wow how beautiful are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims the salvation of the Lord, for He has delivered us from our enemies and He has restored us to the place where we can walk with the oil of gladness above our fellow men

For the oil of Joy is there, like a river and the anointing of the Lord is upon those who seek Him, as Isaiah 61 proclaims

O the love of the Lord God as He prepares the chambers for His beloved

As the wedding feast is made ready and the Bridegroom waits in eager expectation to see His beloved

As He will come by night in proccession with the torches lit and as the bride not knowing the time of His arrival waits and makes herself ready for her husband

O as the bridegroom shouts out with a loud shout and beckons His Bride down ...is She ready ?

She prepares herself with oils and perfumes and fragrances and beautifies herself ready for her love

Her heart is full of praise and admiration , of joy and of wonder, Her

heart wants to praise Her husband

Her heart wants to worship Her husband above all else ...

For there is no other in her life ?

There is no other love in Her life and Her husband is the Only one ?

She has never fornicated Herself or had relations with any other, she has never had another love for she has prepared herself and waited for only one

The love of Her life and she Has been prepared by the Father of the Bridegroom

For He wants the best for His Son , the best of the best and the best of the best are those whose hearts are pure, who seek after righteouness and hate wickedness

Who Seek after Him and seek ONLY Him and the Father prepares the bride for the great day when His Son shall come by night with a great shout and beckon the Bride Home to His house

And in that house are many rooms and they shall be as one together

As one who leaves their Father and Mother to be married so too is one to leave behind and be prepared to leave all behind to be with the Bridegroom

And while the bride is being prepared she knows that He will always be there, for the Father promises that He will never leave and Jesus is there all the time watching and waiting and He will never leave her nor forsake Her

For She is His Church and His only one, the bride , the beloved, the loved one,

Though the ground might shake and the mountains tremble she will stand

Though she may fall by the wayside and be picked up by the certain

samaritan, She knows that whatever happens She is loved

She knows that whoever might invade, whoever might try to take her, whoever might try to take and to invade, to plunder and to mislead into error

She Has One whom will protect Her, She has one who has always loved her and always will love Her, becasue His love does not faulter

His love is the same yesterday , today and forever

He does not alter or change over time, He is not like the shifting shadows

He NEVER changes, although you never know what He will do next

For He keeps His bride alert and ready and she is so in love with Him

She knows that She depends on Him, She knows that without Him she is nothing

She knows that She is weak , She knows that she might be tempted

As in the garden of fragrance...She knows that she might sin and be tempted

She knows that while in that garden of fragrance that she might take that fruit from the wrong tree

But She has one who will love her with an undieing love, an never ending love

She knows that when mountains shake and the earth trembles that He is there

He says " be still and know that I am God "

She knows that whatever happens He will defend Her for He is the mighty one

Valiant in splendour and He rides out in majesty to calm the waves

And She looks to Him for her shelter and Her comfort, for Her protection and for her haven

For He is all things to Her and She is the Church and She is the Bride

She is YOU AND ME being prepared as individuals and as a body

We who have Christ , we who walk in relationship, we who are being prepared for that day and no one knows that day, but The Father will stir His Son and His Son shall come like a thief in the night

And the Bride shall be taken and they shall be as one

He walks in that garden of perfumes and He picks those choicest of

flowers

He knows all by name and His love for them will never change

Amen

Father God in Jesus name we come to you as those being prepared and transformed, we come to you as those being made ready for that great day when you will come with a shout, we wait in eager expectation for that day when we shall be as one

We know that whatever may come He promises to go through the bad times with us, He will not spare us the rough road, but He gives us the ability to walk with Him through the tough times

So that we can walk with that gladness of knowing Him even though life may throw many spears our way

We know that the enemy will destroy Himself and come against Himself

We know that the battle belongs to you O Lord

Though a thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at

your right hand, they shall not approach us

We know O Lord God that when the enemy approached Jerusalem and tried to take that which did not belong to him , you casued the enemy to come up against himself

And we know Lord that whatever spear or trial or tribulation may come up against us, whatever earthquake or famine, whatever affliction or trial

Whatever temptation or pestilence, YOU will always be there and you will be there always guiding us through and giving us the ability and endurance

Because you have been through this and you have conquered the world

And you take us ..."the Bride " and you protect us

For you are our shelter and our refuge from the storm

In Jesus name amen

I found myself speaking to the Lord earlier in the week and I was seeking Him and as I found myself seeking Him I found myself asking Him about His love

Not knowing that later I would be typing this message about Psalm 45 and 46 and what that would be about

I was asking Him about His love and seeking Him and while I was doing this He spoke back and He said this

"My love for you has always been the same, I have loved you the same always, my love does'nt change,

Do you remember when you first found me ? do you remember when you first felt my love ? do you remember that time when you felt my love ? "

"Think back to the one time in your life when you really felt my love in the strongest way ? do you think I do not love you anymore ? do you believe my love for you has changed ?

do you believe that my love for you is based on

how you feel ?, imagine the one time when you have known and really felt my love ! that is nothing no nothing compared to how I really love you "

"Think back to the time when you first found me ? has my love for you changed, since that time ? has my love ever changed ? has my love for you changed in the past and even now ? NO and neither in the future "

God also spoke to me about His joy, a joy welling up within, a joy that is above the circumstances and situations of life, a joy that can overflow from the lips and be a fragrance to many

The words I have shared now are words that were spoken to me this week, while seeking God about His love

Now we shall turn to Psalms 45 and 46

Again we read the words of the descendents of Korah and here we see a song of love

And they brought him to the place called Gol'gotha (which means the place of a skull). And they offered him wine mingled with myrrh; but he did not take it. Mark 15:22-23

And we know that scripture tells us that we are a sweet aroma to all around

Hebrews 1:9

New International Version

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."

2 Corinthians 2:15

New International Version

For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

And so we begin at Psalm 45 where God stirs up within us and the Holy Spirit over realms us and we are filled with praise and adoration

Psalm 45 is a Psalm about the Bride and the Groom, Jesus and His Church.

Psalm 45 is about the relationship between Himself and His Church, His love for His Church, His Bride, His love,

We can almost see the "song of songs " here as we read through this Psalm

And we read from Luke 4:22

English Standard Version

And all spoke well of him and marveled at the gracious words that were coming from his mouth. And they said, “Is not this Joseph’s son?”

Psalm 45 (New Living Translation)

1 Beautiful words stir my heart.I will recite a lovely poem about the king, for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet.

2 You are the most handsome of all.Gracious words stream from your lips.

We must always be ready to give an account and to share what we believe and as a Church and as a Body of believers , as the Bride of Christ, we would want to glorify and praise the one who saved us and who saves us

The one whom said "I thirst " and they offered Him wine mixed with my myrrh and to His lips they offered Him this

Myrrh of cause was one of the gifts the Magi brought to the infant Jesus is as we know one of the spices used to prepare Jesus' body for burial

We see also with Joseph in Genesis 37:23-25 that the brothers stripped Joseph of his robe and they cast him into the pit or well which was empty and we read in

Genesis 37:23-25 that some Ishmaelites who were traders and merchants going on

their way to Egypt were transporting gum, balm, and myrrh,

And the brothers traded with them for twenty pieces of silver

And we realise that myrrh and spices were expensive as we read from 2 Kings 20:13

"And Hezekiah welcomed them, and he showed

them all his treasure house, the silver, the gold, the spices, the precious oil, his armory, all that was found in his storehouses; there was nothing in his house or in all his realm that Hezekiah did not show them."

(RSV)

And lets now read from psalm 45

Psalm 45 (New International Version)

1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

2 You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you forever.

3 Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.

4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously in behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds.

5 Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies;

let the nations fall beneath your feet.

6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;

a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

8 All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia;

from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad.

9 Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.

10 Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear Forget your people and your father's house.

11 The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

12 The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift, men of wealth will seek your favor.

13 All glorious is the princess within her chamber ; her gown is interwoven with gold.

14 In embroidered garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions follow her and are brought to you.

15 They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.

16 Your sons will take the place of your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.

17 I will perpetuate your memory through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you for ever and ever.

Amen

Let the Church rise and see the Love of the King, let Her see that He indeed has an undieing love for Her, let her rise up like the dawn and let Her be clothed in splendour as she rises up to Her Bridegroom

Let that Robe be a fragrance of delight and the myrrh , aloes and cassia be blown around Her as she delights her King, Her Husband, Her first and only love

Psalm 46

Because He is Her refuge and shelter, He is her protection and Her security, and when the earth shakes and the mountains trembles

And as we come to Psalm 46 we go back to where the nations came up against Jerusalem as we read about last week when we looked at Psalms 42 - 44

And we see Gods p[rote4ction and deliverance as the enemies come up against the Lords anointed and as the nations rise up against Gods chosen

For we know that being saved does not give us a ticket to having no problems and we know that we shall go through many trials but we also know that God will walk with us and we shall be delivered.

He says in Psalm 46 " Be still and know that I am God "

Where else does He say "Be Still " ?

Though the nations rise up, though the earth shakes, though the mountains crumble into the sea, though the waves roar and foam we know that a river brings joy to the City Of God !!

Though Jerusalem had no river ....God was their river

Though other nations had rivers that sustained them and kept them filled and watered their crops , Jerusalem had no river, BUT God was their river

Though Joseph found himself in an empty well , a pit that was dry God was His water of Joy

Though Jesus said "I thirst " He was the river

He was and is the water of life

And He is an everlasting river and water of life that shall go on through the ages of time and beyond time and into eternity

For the oil of Joy is there, like a river and the anointing of the Lord is upon those who seek Him, as Isaiah 61 proclaims

His love is the same yesterday , today and forever, their is no shadow of turning with Him and we shelter in the shadow of His wings

He is that water of life and He is our joy and the love that is the

greatest gift of all

And so I ask myself this question !

Do I know the joy and the love of God ? I mean really know ?

Have I experienced that joy like a river flowing through me ?

Lets pray

Lord Husband and deliverer, shelter and refuge, river of life and water of love, Bridegroom and lover, First love and only love, Jesus we come to you and ask for that Joy to permeate us,

that we would experience that

water of life flowing through us, that we would experience that river of the Holy Spirit more and more as we go on with you

Let me know this as a fact, that you love me , not just when I feel it,

but let me know and experience that love and joy and fill me to overflowing

In Jesus Name amen
