The Word Comes To Life

Psalm 107:20 CSB
He sent his word and healed them; he rescued them from their traps.
His Word- The “word” of God indicates God’s thoughts and will.
Word- dabar in Hebrew is logos and rema in the Greek Septuagint
The Word of God reveals the Will of God- When God Speaks it in His Word it reveals His Character (Who He is) and His will (What He does).

The Ultimate Revelation:

The greatest manifestation of the will of God is Jesus Christ-
John 1:1–5 CSB
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it.
John 1:14 CSB
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Word became flesh- John says “we saw Glory”
Glory is the appearance commanding respect- It is the honor thats results from a good opinion
Glory is used: of the nature and acts of God in Self-manifestation
What He Does
Especially in and through Jesus Christ
John 1:18 CSB
No one has ever seen God. The one and only Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s side—he has revealed him.
He Has Revealed him- no one has ever seen God but Jesus Christ, the Word of God Made flesh, has revealed God
And God sent His Word (Jesus) as a fulfillment of His promise, and the Word heals!
