Overflowing Gratitude

Ephesians 5:20 CSB

giving thanks always for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Introduction

Today, I stand before you to remind you that our God deserves our heartfelt thanksgiving.

The Word of God teaches us that we should give thanks always, for all things unto God.

Isn't that powerful, saints?

No matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, no matter what trials or tribulations we face, God is still worthy of our gratitude.

So, let us delve into the three essential ways we can offer up thanksgiving to our mighty God.

Are you ready?

1.First, we must develop a spirit of thankfulness in our daily lives.

You see, brother's & sisters, gratitude is not just a temporary feeling.

Oh, no!

It is an attitude, a posture of the heart that we must cultivate.

When we open our eyes each morning and acknowledge the goodness of God, thanking Him for the breath in our lungs and the rising of the sun, we position ourselves to see His blessings throughout the day.

Somebody say, "Thank You, Jesus!" Thank You, Jesus!

2.Secondly, we are called to express our gratitude through worship.

Our God is worthy of praise, honor, and adoration.

When we enter into His presence with singing, with joyful hearts and uplifted hands, we show Him that we are grateful for all the marvelous things He has done for us.

Let your worship be a sweet fragrance unto the Lord, for He delights in our praise.

Somebody shout, "Glory to God!" Glory to God!

3.Lastly, my beloved congregation, we offer up our thanksgiving through selfless acts of kindness and service.

Is somebody excited about this one?

Oh, I feel the anointing!

When we extend a helping hand to the needy, when we show love and compassion to those who are hurting, we reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father.

This, my brothers and sisters, is true thanksgiving in action.

Somebody say, "Thank You, Lord!" Thank You, Lord!

Closing

Can I get a witness?

Thank God for His Word!

Thank God for His goodness!

Thank God for His mighty works!

Oh, saints, let us rise to our feet as we bring our sermon to a close.

Lift your hands, open your hearts, and with one voice, let us declare our gratitude to the Almighty God who deserves our thanksgiving!

No matter what you're going through, God is still worthy.

No matter the storm, no matter the pain, no matter the struggle – God is always deserving of our thanksgiving.

So, saints, let your voices be heard!

Thank You, Jesus, for your never-ending grace!

Thank You, Jesus, for your unfailing love!

Thank You, Jesus, for being our provider and protector!

Let the praises rise and overflow in this place!

God, You are worthy!

We offer up our heartfelt thanksgiving to You, Almighty God!
