The Issue At Hand

I am writing this in hopes to bring light to an issue of a false gospel message, one that our beloved Pastor, John Gundacker, has promoted numerous times to myself in conversation, and present a call of repentance from this heretical view of the gospel message . That is on the basis of 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 and Galatians 5:19-21 those who having saving faith in Christ “forfeit” their salvation if one does not repent of the sins listed within those passages of scripture prior to death. Such as in the case of one committing fornication at 11am on a Tuesday and dying in a car crash at 12pm the same day unrepentant. That unrepentant Christian would, according to Pastor John Gundacker, forfeit their salvation and be condemned to Hell.

1 Corinthians 6:9–11 ESV

9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Galatians 5:19–21 ESV

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
