THE BOOK OF LIFE,

THE BOOK OF LIFE,Psalm 69-70,

And so we begin in the book of life and we see every person that was created and is yet to be

We see all their days and the stories of lifes , years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds

All that was said and all that is too be said, all that is thought and all that is to be thought

All of History unfolded chapter after chapter by God Himself whom knows all things and

is everywhere at any time as if all at once

This book is the book of the living , And we open the "Lambs book of Life" and we see the names of every person that has been

and every person that is now and every person that is yet to be, those chosen and known of

before the foundations of the world,

Before the breathe of God breathed upon the nostrils of the first man

This book has not changed since the dawning of time and has the names of every believer and those who walk in the light of righteouness and of truth whose name is Jesus, the armour that

surrounds us

Every action performed by a person affects another, every person who might not believe can help

or hinder a believer, every person who is a believer can help or hinder a non believer

Everything moves and has its being affecting another and so the great cog mill of time begins

and every movement of the time spring sets in motion the events that are too be

Lord God In Jesus name let your word be known and let your name be praised and let your

enemies be scattered In Jesus name we commit this time to you now ...amen

The BOOK OF LIFE

Lets begin at the beginning of the book of life at Genesis

And even if you only take in a small amount of this study , even if you only manage to

take in a few sentences , thats good, take those few sentences as God speaking to you

God will draw out things that He wants you to remember and implant them and He will

bring them to your remembrance when the time is right , whether you have the time or the

concentration to take all this in is irrelevant, God may only want you to see certain things

depending on your path and your ability

He may want you only to see one sentence and He will make that one sentence pop out

in front of you like a tiddly wink being forced to jump

So remember it may not be for you to take it all in, it may only be for you to see a certain word

or phrase,...lets begin

You might ask why we are starting in Genesis when we are looking at Psalms 69 and 70

Well you see we can come under attack from many enemies, the scriptures declare

"If God is for us WHO can be against us " Romans 8:28-31

I included verse 28 and 29 as this includes the foreknowledge Of God

And I see this verse as a question "So who can be against us " ?

You see David had many who were against him and we also know that scripture declares...

"There will be persecution" ...."You will have persecution"

2 Corinthians 12:10 2 Corinthians 4:8-11 Matthew 5:10-12

The bible never states that " nothing will be against you and life will be easy"

We follow Jesus / God who was depised and rejected a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief

We follow in the dust of our Rabbi who is Jesus, what do you think will come up against us ?

YES God is bigger far far far far bigger and is able and is more than able and we are more than

conquerors and Our God is a Great Big God

And we hide under the shadow of His wings under His protection , BUT there will be enemies and

there will be persecution, WHY do you think we have the armour ? WHY do you think we have God

our refuge and our strength ? WHY do you think we have the giftings ?

WHY do you think we have

the Holy Spirit ? WHY do you think God equips us for battle ? WHY do you think we have been given

sooo much ?

Would it be because we are safe and all snug and exempt from enemies and persecution and attack ?

David was attacked, he was under attack all the time from enemies, you see the enemy who is the

devil uses people, he mimicks God, he copies God, he imitates God,

he will use people, he will infiltrate the ranks, he will do all he can to disrupt and cause chaos

But you see God does'nt have to use people and that is the difference between the two

God can do anything , anytime, anywhere, and satan cannot

So we look to the question "If God is for us who can be against us ? "

And we see that a great number can be against us but that God is bigger than numbers and He

has overcome the world

And so David had many enemies and there were times as we see In Psalm seventy when David cried

out so much that his throat was parched and his eyes where swollen through weeping

He was scoffed at Psalm 67:9 and the insults that were aimed at God had fallen on David

NOW go to Romans 15:3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written:

"The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me."

You see we walk in Gods trail, we walk in Gods footsteps, we walk in the dust of our Rabbi

They scoffed at David for weeping and fasting, they made fun of David when he showed sorrow,

David was gossip and the drunkards sang songs about him

I had and have a picture that keeps reoccuring of a soldier dressed in armour and he is dressed

from head to foot in shining brilliant armour like silver reflecting the sun and the prominant thing in

this picture is the helmet and the head gear

I had this before I started typing this message and it has reappeared now

............................................

Now lets go to Jesus and his ministry and we see that Jesus Himself came under great persecution

and the crowds at times swallowed Him up in shouts and demands and screamed abuse

Lets look at some more scripture

Matthew 27:48 do we see many enemies ?

Now read Psalm 69:19 onwards and see these scriptures again in the following verses

Psalm 69 verse 21 and relate this to john 19:28-30

Psalm 69 verse 22-28 is again in Romans 11:9-10

Psalm 69 verse 25 relates too Acts 1:20

Wow how prophetic is'nt it ?

Almost like God knew !! almost like these things had been written before they happened .....is'nt it ?

Like these things had to be acted out as they were already written !!

Almost like they had been written before time itself !!

Rev.13:8: "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the

book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

We tend to think of the "Lamb of God " as being in the New Testament and we see this as a New

Testament name and we relate it to Isaiah 53:7

But then we read " BEFORE the foundation of the world"

Wow the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world ?

This is where we come to Genesis

This is where we have the "Book of Life" this is where the Book of life "The Word"

brings revelation to the world and breathes life into all things

Can you imagine your name being in the Lambs book of life ?

But even more so before the foundations of the earth ? or world ?

Even more so can you imagine all your days being written in His book ?

All the days of your life before you were even born ?

In Psalm 139 we read that He created our inmost beings, He knit us together and we were not

hidden from Him for where could we ever hide ?

His eyes saw our unformed bodies and all the days of our lifes were ordained for us and

were written in His book before one of them ever came to be and that is what that Psalm

says. wow how prophetic and how God speaks through the psalms ... as if God knows that

this Psalm is going to be read by us !!

Ps. 139:16: "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members

were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

God knows who are his, even before they are born, everyone who lives is written in the book

of life.

Do you know that what you did today God knew about as He stood at the dawn of time ?

'I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the back

side, sealed with seven seals' Revelation 5:1

Do you know that He knew you would be reading this on this page now at this exact second ?

Do you know that He knows what you will do tomorrow before you do it and knows every

thought that you will think tomorrow before you think it ?

Not only that but He knew of it at the dawn of time and before time

He knew otherwise He would'nt be the all seeing ...all knowing God that He is.....would He ?

And so imagine your name being written before the foundation of the world and as the names

were written He knew of you and He knew who were His

And the book of Life named Jesus began life in the beginning who was and is and is to come

Life as we know it now on this earth although this life has always been and always will be

Heaven has been and is now and our names are written in heaven

Luke 10:20 (King James Version)

20Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice,

because your names are written in heaven.

Heb. 12:23: "To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to

God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect."

Rev.20:12-15: "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened:

and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those

things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Now we come to Psalm 69:28

May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous.

oooo ...so can names be blotted out ?

Well there is a difference between the Book of the living and the Book of Life !

Isaiah 4:3 relates to the Book of the Living

People can be blotted out of the book of the living

Exodos 32:33: "And the LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out

of My book."

Revelation 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown

into the lake of fire.

Rev.3:5: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his

name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

Again we have a divide here , again we have those who are written in the book of the living

but that may not be written in the book of life

Jesus knows who are His, those that are His confess Him and He knows them, He has relationship

with them and they have relationship with Him

Have you confessed Jesus as Lord and saviour ? do you know Jesus as Lord and Saviour ?

Well today can be the first day of knowing Him and today if you hear His voice you can follow

Him and if you do , He knew you would before the foundations of the world

If you don't He knew you would'nt before the foundations of the world !

We are now living in acts 2010, this is the day when you are living the very things that God

wrote about before you did them !

We are living in the chapter of our lifes that God knew about

We are living in the sentence that God knew about

We are living the written word that God wrote about before it ever came to be

You say "Nooooo ...He knew of each day but not what I would be doing "

No He knows each thought before you think it and each action before you perform it

He spoke of what He would do on the earth before He did it, He spoke of Jesus before Jesus

did what He did, God spoke through David of things that wouldn happen long before they

happened, God spoke through the Prophets of things that would happen long before they had

happened

God spoke of things through the prophets that would happen that are still to happen and are not

yet fulfilled and He speaks even now through His people of things that will happen

Because God is the great time traveller and God made time in the beginning

This now today is the book of Acts, this now today is the book of revelations, this now today is the

book of Genesis, this now today is the book of the Exodus and shall we go on ?

We are acting out NOW Gods word, Gods plans, Gods history, Gods book.

He is bringing revelation in this day of revelations

He is creating today new creations in this book of Genesis

He is bringing us now today through the waters and saving us from the enemy and leading us

to the promised land (if we are not already there )

We are living now today in the books of Matthew. Mark, Luke and John as we testify and give

an account to others of what we see and hear of Jesus

We are living now in the books of the letters of the New Testament as we meet with one another

and fellowship and join together as the Churches and prasie His name

We are living now today in the "Book of Life "

As we live and move and have our being in Him who lives and moves and Has His being in us

The book of life is waiting to be read and lived and acted out now today

The book of life is the living word that goes from our heads to our hearts and transforms and

renews as a living word

What chapter are we in ? what book are we in ? what sentence are we living through today ?

Are we as David in a battle ? or we as Jesus in the crowds as they jeer and slander ?

Are we in Exodus as we walk through that wilderness ?

Are we in Genesis as we begin our walk as new creations ?

Whatever book we are in and in whatever sentence we are in remember that God wrote your days

before one of them ever came to be

Are you under attack ? then remember you walk in the footsteps of Jesus...

Remember the soldier with the armour ? this armour is Jesus

Lets pray

Lord God in Jesus name you are the Book of Life and we walk in you and we know that you

walk ahead, behind, at our side, below and above, in us and with us

You know our every move and our secrets, you know our comings and our goings, you knew

all htings and know all things and nothing is hidden from you

You know our rising and our waking , our sitting and our laying down, you know our thoughts

and our motives, you know the hidden things and the outward things

Lord let us not just know your word but live in you word and act out your word today

in Jesus name amen
