We believe in one God, Creator of all things, holy, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in a loving unity of three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Having limitless knowledge and sovereign power, God has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and to make all things new for His own glory.
God's gospel originates in and expresses the wondrous perfections of the eternal, triune God.
In the beginning...

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon (אָמַר) utter, say

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

λόγος, -ου, ὁ word; Word; statement, message (330, chpt 4, n-2a)

Everything we know starts with God. That is the beginning. In the beginning is when God created time. It is the definition of time. In both passages, God spoke. The Word is life.
Tangent: If darkness is the absense of light. Then is nothing the absense of the Word. God’s Word sustains all. No Word is death. In John, there is only one Word, not words.
