Starts with first steps
Take for example Abraham
1 Jehová había dicho a Abram: «Vete de tu tierra, de tu parentela y de la casa de tu padre, a la tierra que te mostraré. 2 Haré de ti una nación grande, te bendeciré, engrandeceré tu nombre y serás bendición.
9 El corazón del hombre se propone un camino, pero Jehová endereza sus pasos.
105 Lámpara es a mis pies tu palabra y lumbrera a mi camino.
We have all begun a journey
Some began it many years ago… others just recently.
8 Jehová guardará tu salida y tu entrada desde ahora y para siempre.
iTS IMPORTANT TO FINISH THE JOURNEY
7 He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe.
En nuestra Jornada:
God has taken us from disbelief to Belief
From Godlessness to Godly
From darkness to Light
From ignorance to Knowledge of Gods word
From practicing sin to living a holy life
Now we are living a life of seeking after God…
Seeking His presence….
Not trusting your own ways…. Proverbs 3:5-6
5 »Confía en Jehová con todo tu corazón y no te apoyes en tu propia prudencia. 6 Reconócelo en todos tus caminos y él hará derechas tus veredas.
This year is coming to an end…. Its always good to make an assessment….
How did it go?
With you personally, In your relationships, Family, wife children….
In your Christian walk with God
In your service to God as you serve in ministry
If some of these areas of your life are not doing well…. What are you going to do to fix it?
1. Pray and seek God and ask Him direction for your life…
2. Seek counseling.
3. Is there an addiction? Alcohol, smoking, anger, depression, sexual sin?
4. What are you going to do about it?
God will help you. Isaiah 41:10
10 No temas, porque yo estoy contigo; no desmayes, porque yo soy tu Dios que te esfuerzo; siempre te ayudaré, siempre te sustentaré con la diestra de mi justicia.
We all are leaving out a journey….
36 En todas sus jornadas, cuando la nube se alzaba de encima del Tabernáculo, los hijos de Israel se ponían en marcha;
But this journey is about ending well…
It’s a journey to the Kingdom
We want to get there, now its not by our own merits
Its not by our own strength…. Its by the blood of Jesus
But we cant just surrender to our passions that lead us astray…
We must surrender all our life and problems to God
Now life journey is beautiful in Christ it has many twists and turns…
But you can trust God.
Today we will be celebrating the 80th Birthday of our founder…
• He has had a beautiful Journey
• Leaving El Salvador at a young age…
• Coming to prepare a path for his family in this country
• Worked hard as a taylor… to provide for his family
• Called to serve at a local church and then asked to be the pastor of the church
• Served thye local district of Assemblies of God for 15 years as presbiter
• Faithfuly married to the same woman…. Three Children who love the Lord and serve in different ways
Now it has not all been wonderful…
• He has been persecuted for preaching the Gospel
• He has been Kidnapped at Gun point from his office
• People have betrayed him and divided the church a few times…
• Has been defamed on local news TV
But after all that He has continued to serve and preach the Gospel….
38 Por lo cual estoy seguro de que ni la muerte ni la vida, ni ángeles ni principados ni potestades, ni lo presente ni lo por venir, 39 ni lo alto ni lo profundo, ni ninguna otra cosa creada nos podrá separar del amor de Dios, que es en Cristo Jesús, Señor nuestro.
It has been a Journey… a Beautifull Journey
