You are LOVED!

1 John 3:1 NIV

1 See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

You are loved by God and children of God. This season allows us to bring out the childlike wonder deep within our hearts. That’s why it is good for all of us to come together to present the Christmas story - just as if we are all children!

How did we, or do we become Children?

John 1:12–13 NIV

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

We become children of God by accepting his love for us through Jesus Christ

Romans 5:6–8 NIV

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

This is a great love that we accept and put our trust in - as if our LIFE and FUTURE depends upon it!

As we do that we fulfill the requirement of BELIEVING in HIS NAME - then we become children born, transformed, renewed, and REPURPOSED by GOD!

Then we have a ROLE to play!

Today many people PARTICIPATED in telling the story of God’s love for us

We have been looking at different people who PARTICIPATED in God’s unfolding drama tor bring about Jesus Christ.

There was those in the family line - even though they were questionable at times in their character

There was Joseph and Mary - who in choosing to participate with God’s unfolding drama may have given a lot of their life and reputation up

The shepherds who although were looked down upon as undesirable heard the angels and went to see the Christ child

But, then there’s YOU.

Just like the program WE ALL have been invited to participate in God’s unfolding drama

We all have been invited to participate in the sharing of the story of God’s love for us in Jesus Christ.

WRAP IT UP!

Will you accept the gift of God’s love?

Will you allow this gift to transform you, make you new, as if you were born again?

In doing this you become a child

And, as a child, will you accept the invitation to do your part in sharing the story of God’s love?

***You are loved! Accept that love. Accept being a child of God. Then, play your part in proclaiming God's good news to others!!!***
