1. Greeting
1. Greeting
Hi my name is Phoenix Seal
Im 14 years old and i’m in the eighth grade
I live in Clear Spring, Maryland its about 1 hour from Washington D.C
Some of the most important Things/People in my life is My Mom and going to Church and My Uncle Brad.
My mom because she got me to come to church and make it a regular thing in my life and my mom works very hard to provide for me and my brothers.
Church is important because it gave me the opportunity to come here.
My Uncle Brad because he is like my spiritual father and looks after me and keeps me safe.
Psalm 23 “1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Because it tells me that the Lord is waiting for me and ready to protect me. Growing up, I always looked to my mom who always watched over me and protected me. As I continued to grow up I learned about the Lord Jesus who also watches out for me. I want you to know that Jesus will protect you as well.
2. Your Life Before Christ
2. Your Life Before Christ
God promises that those who seek him will find him and He will protect those who trust Him
17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
I had heard before about Jesus, but never really paid attention to it, until my mom married my dad and he started telling us how important it was to have a relationship with God. I was getting in trouble in school and not doing my school work. I would always try to make people laugh instead of doing what I was supposed to be doing.
3. How You Came to Faith in Christ
3. How You Came to Faith in Christ
A couple of years ago, my Uncle Brad started a new church and I started going there. I wanted to hear what he was talking about so I started paying attention to his sermons. I felt the Holy Spirit telling me that I needed to follow Jesus and ask for him to forgive my sins. I felt so much peace and that the Lord was protecting me.
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
I then realized I wanted to get baptized. I wanted to do whatever I needed to be obedient to God.
4. Your Life After Coming to Christ
4. Your Life After Coming to Christ
After committing my life to God and Jesus forgiving my sins. I started to settle down more. There was so much more peace in my life and I started paying attention in my life and goofing off less. I go to church every Sunday and I want to help others know about Jesus.
5. Why Did You Come to Guinea-Bissau
5. Why Did You Come to Guinea-Bissau
I heard my Uncle talk about his trips and his work in Guinea-Bissau and God told me to come. I had no idea how I would be able to afford coming, but God provided everything for me.
9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
