In 1987 in the city of Pyongyang, North Korea a monumental architectural effort began. The Ryugyong Hotel is 330m. But it is left unfinished.
Its not uncommon for us to leave things undone. There is almost innate in the human experience the temptation to start things and leave them incomplete. Not because we don’t want to see things done, but because other things come up. the Consider the idea of unfinished business. Consider the idea of procrastination. Consider the projects you’ve started and still haven’t gotten around to finishing. At one point in time you may have had ambition to create something but never got around to it.

Unwavering Confidence
Because He had been through some things and seen God work on his behalf. “Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches.”
God’s Word
The Church had already born fruit of the work God had begun in them.
Progressive Completion
Progressive Completion
He who began the work. It starts with God’s plan.
is a future present tense
God’s work is necessary. The tension Paul and we have to deal with is the duality of the Human effort and the Divine effort. Our responsibility to the work and God’s. Just because God is working does not mean that you don’t have a part. And just because you work does not mean that you don’t need God’s help.
Day of Christ Jesus
Day of Christ Jesus
(Teach on the Day of The LORD.)
What excites me about the “until” is that the faithfulness of God to keep working on me. And I wonder if there is anyone who going into 2024 with an “until” testimony. (Run “until”)
Day of Christ Jesus also lets me know there is an appointed time when it will be finished.
Like a kid shows their parents what the did. And the appointed time is when Jesus brings the finished product to the Father and says, look at what I made.
